I have all of these except Final fight. but no original packaging, just the cartridges, and they are PAL, I have a radio store here in my town that have original packaged games for sale, I have never checked them out, but they are on super sell-out, owner probable dont know they could be worth some for collectors.
You can't say that these are the rarest/most wanted games by those prices. Sealed games will always be worth a small fortune, even if they are sucky ones.

@MrAzoz71 collectable objects like these are so expensive because they're kept in their original package, that's why they are so expensive. They worth almost nothing unsealed. Who buy those games didn't buy them to play with them, as stamps collectors don't buy them to send letters.

I should consider myself lucky. I have an actual copy of Super Mario RPG. It was bought from a video store for $20 roughly 10 years ago so it is just the cartridge. I don't care if the files delete themselves and I could play it on Virtual Console. I'm keeping it.
the files are deleting themselves cuz ur battery in the cartrige is dead thats an easy fix my friend. Just find a screw driver that will open the nut, dont worry you wont break ur game cartridge, now once open you should see a battery that looks like a clock battery or something its round with a cross on it take to store and buy a new one and replace, reverse process put in ur game... ur saves shud now stop deleting themselves. or if ur scared to do it just emulate it.zsnes ftw :)

Games don't have to be good to have value. If you think about it the most popular games sold the most copies, therefor there are many of them still out there. The lesser known games that didn't sell that well are rare because of there scarcity.

i remember playing a game where main character is: a half naked bald guy, with black pants and with only eyes on his face and maybe ears. he used a staff to fight. there was a level where you must go through firing building. you could climb on ceiling and mostly everywhere to pass the level, then there was somekind of forest level, where you have to get to the top of the really tall tree to face a boss. if anyone remember this, maybe someone could tell it to me, because i really miss that game.!

Why dont you buy a rolex copy from some black guy at the beach? Sometimes because they're made badly (having lolex or other typos and ridiculous mistakes), but even if it's a good copy - it's just not the same. It's totally different having a bunch of paper boxes including well-printed gameguides and original cartridges on the shelve that you can grab (material not data!) and play as soon as theres power. I was going to try to find Castlevania Dracula X, but after I saw the price for a sealed copy I'm sure the amount wouldn't go down for just the cartridge.

The problem with all these games costing $8,000 now is that emulation is a snap. No one is but the hardest of the hardcore collectors/hobbyists are going to drop $262 on freaking Final Fight 3.
The SNES was class, but those pricetags are rapetastic. A nice drug habit would be a healthier hobby than retro gaming at this point, I think.
As much as I would love to get another SNES, I'm happy I have an emulator so I can get all these games I would otherwise NEVER have access to. Even if i DID have access to them, how the hell am I supposed to keep Dracula X, Zelda ALTTP and Final Fight 3 in their packaging?!?!

Several of these can be bought on the Wii Shop Channel for 8 dollars each. Just sayin. I guess this is more for the collector/investor than an actual gamer. If I want to invest, I buy gold.

i don't like really high priced games, especially at 700$ (for petes sake, i can get the console for less!), but if the game is about as rare as hen's teeth, then i might pay that much. sadly though, no one would pay that much for a rare snes game, because the game is most likely rare because of the game quality. only every once in a while do you find a rare game that is actually good. so tell me guys, what is the point of paying that much for a game?

@MrNamegame a lot of the rpgs are rare and are fantastic, it's just that the genre wasn't as popular over here as it was in japan at the time

Games don't have to be good to have value. If you think about it the most popular games sold the most copies, therefor there are many of them still out there. The lesser known games that didn't sell that well are rare because of there scarcity.

@kushman40 actually, you're kind of wrong in a way. the Dodge Charger Original was a very famous car, but they are as hard as hell to run across today. so, in a way, you basically said that all computers, new and old, can open an 8 gb file 1 second after you click it. and by the way, this whole thing started 2 months ago already. So just cut it out, I don't even play the computer as long as some people like this guy over here (and possibly even you) like to carry on a convo for. just saying.

i remember playing a game where main character is: a half naked bald guy, with black pants and with only eyes on his face and maybe ears. he used a staff to fight. there was a level where you must go through firing building. you could climb on ceiling and mostly everywhere to pass the level, then there was somekind of forest level, where you have to get to the top of the really tall tree to face a boss. if anyone remember this, maybe someone could tell it to me, because i really miss that game.!

Why dont you buy a rolex copy from some black guy at the beach? Sometimes because they're made badly (having lolex or other typos and ridiculous mistakes), but even if it's a good copy - it's just not the same. It's totally different having a bunch of paper boxes including well-printed gameguides and original cartridges on the shelve that you can grab (material not data!) and play as soon as theres power. No need to boot anything

The problem with all these games costing $8,000 now is that emulation is a snap. No one is but the hardest of the hardcore collectors/hobbyists are going to drop $262 on freaking Final Fight 3.
The SNES was class, but those pricetags are rapetastic. A nice drug habit would be a healthier hobby than retro gaming at this point, I think.

As much as I would love to get another SNES, I'm happy I have an emulator so I can get all these games I would otherwise NEVER have access to. Even if i DID have access to them, how the hell am I supposed to keep Dracula X, Zelda ALTTP and Final Fight 3 in their packaging?!?!

@RikuChanhnoy Pretty much only collectors waste that much money on games. People who want to PLAY the game, instead of keeping in unused and wasted inside a plastic box, will simply hit ebay and get the loose cart for a few bucks instead.
