I went to the LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts with this young lady. She came from a devout Christian family. Her entire family have marvelous voices. I was in the same class as her older sister, Marian. They all had lovely spirits and I am happy for D'Atra. She is making a lot of people happy with her powerful voice.

I've worked with D'atra. This is a very tamed performance by her. But she performed on Bobby Jones recently to promote her new album, Finally My Time. She sang Soon Ah Will Be Done...She was very reserved and it was beautiful. She was just having a good time at this concert.
