A lonnng time ago myself and a friend were building our own Blade Runner Deckard gun replica. It was the year the movie came out (pre internet). My friend and I got adventurous and called directory assistance looking for Syd Mead and when we got a close match - we called him. He not only answered but talked to us teenage kids for twenty minutes!!! He gave us background on the gun design and build. What an amazing, gracious guy!
