the pumpkins proper was always billy, considering he wrote and recorded just about everything. James contributed minorly to two songs and wrote two. Darcy sang one. They have great sentimental value, and i liked them, but MOVE ON people. Go listen to the Oceania stuff and tell me your beloved Pumpkins have not returned. The new stuff from this upcoming album is AMAZING. The pumpkins have always been billys band, so just enjoy it for what it is.

I remember first seeing this back in 1998 and thinking that Corgan had finally lost the plot (OK, the Batman song didn't help either). It was a very technicially impressive production at the time and this video was considered very cutting edge. However, Adore was a massive disapiontment to fans coming off Melon Collie.

Machina: The Machines of God saw the departure of Wretzky who was followed by Iha leaving aftewards. SD and MCIS are still the best Pumpkins albums around. Though the rest might have not made a big contribution material wise, they still made what the Pumpkins where then. NO new band Corgan comes out with will create it.
