Yeah that's the whole point. She is not fat by any means, in fact she is actually beautiful. But a person with anorexia nervosa has such a distorted view of herself that she cannot see reason. When she looks in the mirror she sees that "fat" girl who is not fat at all.

i think there's more to it than what meets the eye. i don't think they're trying to say that being fat is a bad thing, but instead, to make u aware of the health risks that come along with it. most people who wanna lose weight, do it to change their look rather than to be healthier and that's a shame =\. it's just scary seeing how the imagination can affect reality. i think this is a clever commercial.

The point is to show how anorexic girls see themselves, and it is true. I used to have a bmi of 14 (I weighed 80 pounds) and when I saw myself in the mirror, I saw exactly what the girl in the video sees. I thought that I weighed 150...it's a sad disease.
