  • Just google "MPC groove templates for logic" and it should be your first selection. Cheers.

  • any chance of reupload?

  • Big thanks for this video. I tried the manual for this (importing these .lso groove template files that are lying around the 'net) and that was no good; I tried the usual logic forums, and the instructions there were no good either. But your video made it crystal clear. Like with so many things, you see how easy it is, but only once you know how. Many many thanks. Please, keep them coming!

  • SFNINJA, If I place the folder in a midi track instead of an audio track just to make it more 'organized' will it make a difference or will it still work the same? I been following you for years now bro, and the amount of knowledge you dropped is crazy. I'd like to thank you once again, and I'm hoping you can answer this like you've always had. I hope all is going well with you, and once again, thanks for everything!

  • david my man... great to be back here getting sorted out. it took a break up to get me back to making music and i just want to get started you know ? make some tracks. not fuss around.. move the ideas across into the sounds as quickly as they arise, right ? and where am i going to find the info i need to make that happen, delivered by a totally clear and cool tutor? there's no question---> its the ninja...

  • Thankyou.

I used to have an mpc 3000, but this saves so much time

    Love, light and music

  • will this work with a 4000 or 2000xl mpc?

  • wow, thank you so much!!

  • I can always rely on SF Logic Ninja to answer all my logic questions. But how do I open the new Bassetts Sherbet Fountains?!

  • Could you explain this for Logic 9?

  • Open "make groove template" in quantize menu.

  • is there any way to convert an audio loop into a MIDI track? in order to change pitch/rhythm?

  • Make a Blank Song Template with the Groove Templates already installed.

  • Can anyone please tell me how to open the MPC zip file? I tried opening it with Stuff it but it says file does not seem to be compressed. ??

  • How did he Paste and it automatically made tracks with No Outputs?

  • When you drag the files into Logic it will automatically make a track for each of the files.

  • hi great videa man, was wondering if you could help me, how do i get that really over compressed sound on a vocal ????

  • ah yep i see i can select my own templates :)

    thx for making this video!

    re.dude below... official-not-so-wise-guy...

set up and save a TEMPLATE with q's screenlayouts, aux and your favourire plugs(except trilogy cuz wrapper sux and takes too long too load)... SAVE IT and use it to start... timesaver of note..!! (",)

  • dave, first off I really enjoy your videos. Second I was wondering if there is a way to permanently add the mpc quantize to logic so you don't have to add the folders everytime?

  • so you can use the MPC sounds on logic? i dont get what that does...does it work on logic 7?

  • Hi Dave, big thanks for this one it will make a big difference to my productions.

    Respect.

  • Hey SFDaveLogicEarlNinja (jk)! These tips r the BEST EVER (mainly bcuz they're free!) But if u ever decided to put some alfredo on it (get paid), u got my support. I'm having so much trouble with 3rd party plug-ins and my Intel MAC, but have navigated around it somewhat. I'm @ the Bermuda Triangle w/ not being able to use ReCycle. Could u point me in the right direction Capt.?

  • Thanks for the support... I may have a paid version in the future just so my employer understands why I'm typing furiously all afternoon! Do you know about apple loops, and did you see my Recycle and Logic video, (#1?)

  • That's really cool! Nice one m8!

  • Respect!! Thanks for putting this out there. I saw the new mpc demo. it's cool, but at $3500, i 'll just stick with the templates. Thanks for putting in the time!!

  • sorry 4 being thick how do you use groove template ??

  • yea how?

  • Apple should put you on their team,

  • Thank you very much, that was outstanding. Now I can sell my

    MPC(LoL)

  • Wow...you kno your stuff!!

thnx a lot for the MPC files

  • I've been able to hold off on buying one of those tutorial DVD's since subscribing to this joint......Thanx for puttin' the work in man.....

  • Those tutorial DVDs are still a good investment They usually have a much higher production value and are better structured than these tips. Thanks all the same, though!

  • Thank you David for taking the time make these Great Logic tutorials. Very useful tips, keep up the Amazing Work.

  • great tutorial!!! you are awesome!

  • So would you have to go through this whole process every time? I guess if you produce mostly hip hop the move would be to save it as your autoload song along with other settings you use right?

  • Yep. Save as template for use when you need 'em. If you hide the folders in the template, then the regions will be there, and the groove templates as well.

Since i use the MPC grooves pretty rarely, i have a Hip_hop template.

  • So when u gonna let us hear your hip-hop.....

  • It's under 'About This Video' On the right.

  • Look at 'about this video' on the right hand side of this page

  • hmmm cool

  • ah so that's the file. I didn't see this video :P

  • Thanx man I was waiting for this 1....our the man DAVID!!!!!!

  • Groove templates... honestly.. you are droppin the most amazing tutorials... awesome...
