@hiddekuti I've told a friend I was gay and that I was attracted to him. I lost his friendship soon afterward. Even when a bi friend and I fooled around I told him how I felt about him, I lost his friendship. It's been 8 years since I last saw him.

My best bud is uncomfortable with gays. He's not sure which side of the fence I lean on. I change the subject when he asks.  I don't want to lose his friendship of over 20 years.

I think it may be best that way.

I haven't seen this movie, so I don't know how the lying and etc are handled in this movie, but while lying and deceiving people are obviously wrong no matter what, it makes sense why a gay person would... being in the closet is lying yes, but until straight people like you try harder to relate a lot of people will keep lying to protect themselves.

I generally agree that sexual orientation is genetic and unchangeable, but it's apparent that sometimes, as in your case, it DOES change. In my opinion this is either because you were pressured by society to be heterosexual and, like myself, convinced yourself for a while that you were, or because you're genetically "bisexual" and, sexuality being fluid, yours has just changed over time to disregard females for males. Maybe it will happen again someday, maybe not.
