  • Only flown for 2 hours and you are on your 2nd solo trip?

I think that is a mis statement

  • Congratulations! Even though this was 4-1/2 years ago, it was a job well done.

How did you mount the video cam?

  • i've only flown 2 hours so far, and when you see it from the cabin the ground looks to be coming at me a whole lot faster than what it looks like on video

  • Nice first solo landing but it seems you had a pretty gusty crosswind

  • Nice landing! I enjoy the C172 but still as a low hour student (28 hours) I still get nervous as the ground rush starts as you cross the threshold. Maybe that comes from looking too much at the numbers instead of the end of the runway. Felt the same during my first solo.

  • NICE JOB!

  • Very nice!

  • Nice landing man!!

  • Weldone. Touchdown was perfect. Good Job!

  • Great job man!!! Good form. Congrats!

  • beautiful? i think u were too high but not sure . was it ILS ?

  • did you idle the thrust ? :O

  • A little gusty =). Well done! Perfect on the localizer! I always had problems with this before my airliner career.

  • where was this??

  • it fast get ugly

  • great!!

  • Ikr at Airports you see pilots giving them selfs some space to line up proply and then land.

  • Is it really necessary to stall before touchdown? The runway seems pretty long.

  • you should really put down the camera and concentrate on the landing. j/k!! great job, very smooth...and your first solo to boot.

  • Any landing is a good landing :)

  • not bad at all, a li'l shaky on the flare

  • Nice and greasy...

  • congrats on that great solo landing

  • It looks like you were like I was, in that it took me a while before I realized I could move the plane around with rudders and not just the ailerons. It makes the landings look a lot prettier if nothing else. lol. You may have had a cross wind though.

    Anyway, nice job!

  • nice

  • That was a beauty, almost seemed a bit gusty?

  • Nice landing...what was the airport?

  • Grease landing! Good job!. I'm actually going to start my lessons soon after i take my ground school test. Any tips?

  • Really nice!

  • great job you had total control right on the number's happy flying 9402l

  • That was a very good landing....How's your flight career these days?

  • @ShutTFup Awesome would be an understatement if I say that. I'm flying B737 now. What a machine! :-)

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Much better than my first solo landing! Nice!

  • where did you land?

  • @arschloch9073: Looked to me like it was right on the runway. : )

  • Perfect landing !!! Great job !

  • @POSTgoodVideos thank you! :-)

  • 8 out of 10

you were a little bit shaky but OK ... that's part of the job !!! :)

  • pretty much center line. my solo landing was waaay worse than that

  • @ryanJogas09 intial solos are supposed to be bad. mine were too, after this first one which was just alright. total guess work :-)

  • 3 point landing, but not bad

  • AWESOME JOB!

    How did it feel?!?!?!

  • @r4microds out of the world!!! :-)

  • beautiful landing

  • @crapper1 thank you crapper! ;-)

  • great landing! :)

  • @MrAviation101 thanks! :)

  • A heck of a lot better than my first solo landing, put a nice big side load on my tires >.<

  • @DerPilotMann haha...believe me, I did the same on some other solos. Just didn't shoot it to upload it on youtube.

    Part of the job right

  • Nice solo, I did mine recently too, so i know the feeling

  • nice

  • Sounded like the stall warning just prior to touch down. Doesn't get much better than that. Good job. Great first solo.

  • @kevat310 wow some compliment. thank you :-)

  • Was this a standard or Aerobat Cessna?

Does your instructor sit with you In Case of an emergency?

  • @ThatKidKnows : It can't be a "solo" if anyone else is on board. Duh!

  • nice side load on that landing

  • Im waiting for my first solo, just need transport canada to send me my medical certificate

  • @MegaPascal31

    hah Me too!

damn TC and their waiting game. Where are you taking your PPL?

  • @joemct Brampton flying club.

  • @joemct Brampton flying club. hby?

  • @MegaPascal31 negative. its at richard lloyd jones airport, oklahoma

  • @MegaPascal31 you fly out of the brampton flying club?

  • @Salsamotek yes

  • @MegaPascal31 you fly out of the brampton airport?

  • @PrimeGex yep

  • @MegaPascal31 nice, i fly into brampton to pick up passengers haha, i fly out of waterloo

  • @PrimeGex Cool. Im excited since they are re-paving both runways (Y)

  • Very well done.

  • Good job mang.

  • nice....

  • beautiful landing

  • @757birdie thanks birdie.. your comment made my day :)

  • Nice work. Spot on man

  • @EnragedKamikaze thanks cuz

  • Centerline.....Nice

  • @stevenesmond2 :) thanks.. only towards the end though..

  • Mine lessons are free I take them from my dad

  • how could you video and land at the same time

  • Nice landing bro.

  • cool landing.

hey i got a quastion are you still a pilot if yes what plane are you flying?

  • Pretty damn good! I wish I could have filmed my first solo.

  • in Perth i go to Melville senior high school that has an aviation program. it will only cost me $135 for a one hour flight lesson :)

  • @f22raptor861 My lessons are $75 an hour.

  • Wow... that's why many people in Switzerland (my country) and Europe in general go to USA to comlpete the PPL licence: My lessons are 400 CHF per hour, which is nearly 380$

  • @GoLfErgio92 thats intense!!! :(

  • @777Plox whats intense?

  • @shraddha1010 I was responding to GoLfErgio92's comment. :P

  • ha my first solo wasn't to good. i wasnt used to not having my 200 pound instructor in the right seat. =p now im good though

  • GOOD LANDING BRAH!

  • @usernameavailable152 thanks, but no brah! its sis! ;p

  • nice, looks like you hit about centerline too! great job!

  • @USAFp90x thanks :)

  • nice landing! i remember my first solo... fun times!

  • @italy430 ya fun times! i miss flying the sweet li'l cessna...all alone!

  • Good landing man.

  • @jabob98 thanks!!

  • @shraddha1010 looks like your on your way to being a pilot :)

  • maybe for your first solo landing you shouldnt of been worrying about a camera

  • agree!

  • thats a rip off. it cost $100 per hour for cessna including fuel then $30-40 for instructor. these prices are at southbay aviation at torrance airport zamparini feild in california.

  • kso747,

    Sounds about right.

  • @kso747 that's cheap haha in Canada its about 140$ an hour for a cessna and 60$ for an instructor, I wouldn't be complaining if i were you

  • No, not where i live, see we have a flight club, so i can fly a plane that's usually 178 per hour, and flight club it's 100 an hour, with very cheep everything else.

  • @kso747 on average it cost a person $6300 to complete the program. That's about $105/hr, assuming the average person takes 60 hours to complete it, everything. This is in Goshen, IN

  • i want to get a ppl to fly cessna's at weekends for hobbies but it is too expensive. i've called the flight school they said ppl costs 16000$ and when you get the license you can rent cessna's for 350$ per hour.

i think i am living in an avition expensive(!) country. if i don't hit the jackpot i won't be flying. i am reaallly sad:(

  • Where do you live? 350 USD for ine hour in a C152?

  • Turkey/Istanbul

    not c152, c172.

it is like that because of fuel taxes i think. and maybe because it is a crowded city of 15 million people living. air traffic for ltba is huge, maybe it is that or maybe the taxes. i dont know.

  • @floydian5 that is really expensiver here its only 215$ an hours

  • That sounds WAY too high for a Cessna unless maybe it has a Garmin 1000 nav system in it or something.

I recommend taking ground school at a 2-year college in your area if they have it. In California, it is $26 dollars a unit for three units; much cheaper than a regular flight school.

  • Oh and is this spartan?

  • 5* landing, can't wait to start flying! O, What type of aircraft are you flying now?

  • thanks much :) i'm on B737 now.

this is krvs. my flying school was rfc, which is next to spartan. but what made you guess spartan?

  • Spartan's a school @ RVS I just took a random guess, what's RFC, and are you flyinG the 737NG?

  • ah riverside flight center!

  • EMBRY RIDDLE NIGGAS!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • haha thanks but i guess this was the only decent recorded landing during my first solo flight.. can't just post others here on youtube!

  • DUDE! nice landing. I'm going to fly tomorrow and will do Take offs and landings (TOALS) for the fourth session and my instructor will instruct me to do Go Around if doesnt like my approach. I hope I could nail all my landings tomorrow. Can't wait. Nice job again. More power. Happy Landings.

  • hey thanks dude!

i hope you nailed it the other day!

    Blue skies and tailwinds!!

  • wish i recorded my solo :( , great job,

  • nice landing im thinking a bout becoming a pilot my self im very exited to start class' i have 1 question is it hard to fly a plane

  • no. if you lean it, its not that hard. with a good teacher, and good consentration, you will be a pilot soon :)

  • hey thnx man

  • no its not!

  • its not as long as you have done the theory and researched all the approach procedures, also when your up there remember to only lightly adjust and don't descend at a rate of more than 700Ft/min and 100Ft/min on touchdown

  • Perfect landing! Squeaked the tires right in the touch-down zone.

  • you land after PAPI lights?

  • Does it take a special license to fly twin engine aircraft?

  • yes,multi engine rating

  • That's actually quite logical.

  • nice

  • perfect landing and good job maintaining the center line....... 5 stars

  • Nice landing! 5 stars

  • NICE LANDING!! CONGRATS!

  • one of the best feelings for me when i flew my first solo i was so nervous As i remembered i bounced

  • well done m8! that was nicely tracked on the center-line when the nose wheel hit the ground.

  • Probably one of the best feelings ever!

  • That was pretty damn good....what was your pucker factor? bout 99.9%?

  • Congratulations my friend!

  • MAn IAM SO SCARED for my first landing

  • i missed the video making too. my trainer sad stop the plane on the runway after the school curse, and turn it to the other angle. when it was done he jumped out the cockpit, closed his door and sad: now, this will be your first solo, have a good flight :) this was one of the greatest things i've ever felt

  • This has been the same thing for me...

  • surely was one of the greatest feelings! :)

  • Excellent job and congrats!

  • Very nice.

Makes me wish I had taped my own. I'll never forget the feeling of starting to taxi without my instructor thinking, "what the hell do you think you're doing?"

I then remember singing to myself all the way (Green Day!) to keep myself from thinking too much about what I was doing. All told, it was a great day, as I'm sure first solo is for all pilots.

  • Nice landing.

  • nice landing

  • thanks

  • Well done mate :O) happy flying

  • we are all nervous with are first solo...after you get out of the plane you walk with a little pep in your step though..just stay cool and remember your training youll be ok

  • Women landingS! :D

  • nice landing, what airport is this?

  • thank you :)

    this is KRVS (Riverside, Oklahoma)

  • it look alot like mce in merced

  • i mean kmce

  • i can;t wait to start my flying lessons!

  • really good landing, you it is not easy task to be in the plane alone for the first time but we all eventually came out with success. You know I soloed today 05-17-09 and I felt a little bit nervous but with great pride of what I was doing.

  • Congrats

  • Thanks

  • I'm (virtually) ripping your shirt tail and throwing water over your head! Congrats and welcome to the club!

  • Thanks for your comment and for your wishes to me, I wish to you all the best and god bless you and good luck.

  • I have a question for you. Were you nervous on your solo? I am really comfortable landing with an instructor in the plane and he is pushing me to get my medical after only 7hrs so I can solo. Honestly, I am kinda scared. I guess when the time comes, I'll be ready.

  • hmmm a girl, a cessna, landing perfectly.......I LOVE IT!!!

  • ahem! and i love your comment! thanque :)

  • ya no problem keep it up

  • congrats i would give you a hug man

  • hey man thanks so much. but i'm a woman! still won't mind the hug though :)

  • ughhhhh my first solo is coming up...

  • I remember thinking "I should have brought an extra pair of underwear"

  • I just thought it was a little wierd to be in there alone on my first solo... didnt bother me though i did 2 touch 'n gos and a full stop.... Class D KTRI in a C-172.

  • At my solo, the circuit was at 700 Ft AMSL but in my euforia I climbed right trough that, because of the much lower weight of the 152 without instructor I didn't expect to reach that altitude so fast...couldn't stop looking to the right to make me realize I was really alone in that plane.

  • i was using my phone on my first solo =P
