Thats the first I have heard of the 81 case to replace the magnesium cases that rot over time. And I didnt think that the 81CR250 was good for anything
@1932hornet I use synthetic Power Plus and Torco racing fuel. The oil ratio I use is 50:1. The ratio you use will depend on the type and manufacturer of oil used. I use racing fuel not for the consistency but for the lack of ethanol and other additives put in auto fuel.
Hmm, that's strange. Honest to god, I've never seen an mx bike with the chain and sprockets on the right side. Just goes to show how much I know about bikes lol
Respond to this video...The pipe is from Pro Form racing, it is not custom made. PFR might be able to chrome plate the pipe or you could just buy the pipe and chrome plate it yourself with a local plater.
I am restoring the same bike, I am tryin to get a rear rim for my bike n can't seem to find one, can you point me in the right direction? Would be much appreciated. Also did you buy new fenders or what did you do there?
@B30Dave good luck dave im trying to find a rim also for mine! ive been looking for 2 years. ebay has them from time to time (when im broke) hope that helps
That's fantastic work! I have an 84re atac valve. Can anyone tell me if 83 rear hub fits 84. Apparently it has 3 bearings instead of two. I want to lace hub into supermoto rim. But as not got an 83 to compare to 84. I'm unsure any help appreciated. I've googled with no luck!
I used to have an 83CR250, it was faster than my brothers 85 CR250 and even felt like it had more power than my 03 CR250 as I couldnt get my 03 up for a wheelie in 5th like I could easily on my old 83. Your bike brings back good memories for me.
beautiful job thanks for posting this my friend had one i loved it, I was mostly yz guy but his honda was awesome im gonna send him this , makes me wanna find one to resto but probably pretty hard to find , anyways nice job and thanks

@gump54 The 1983 CR480 and CR250 shard a common rim and hub. Check ebay, plenty of used 1983 CR480 rims and hubs there.
I bought my plastic from amsracing, they have a web site
