Paul Frees was a master of voices, ... and voice-over work for Disney, Mr. Frees worked on several Glenn Larson productions for television, including Knight Rider.
Hi Johnny. Love the morph. Any chance you could make a young > old > young version of this that lasts around 60 seconds? Want to use for a Halloween projection next year. I found one that's what I want but the resolution too low.
I just wanted to vent how much I hate it when the staff on the Orlando ride would rush in the next group of people into the entry parlor and we would quickly be be rushed once again, into the gallery room. I always wanna see this intro start to finish.
Hello, reader. If you started reading this, don't stop or else. I hate people who post these kind of comments but.... Okay, y'all.......lemme just say what everyone else is thinkin' here... (ladies, atleast).................Master Gracey was straight up FINE in his early years. XD Just sayin.
@briancalifornia1 No Brian, not a hologram. It is a simple digital projection that is projected from a small room behind the portrait. The "canvas" is a thin scrim material and the film is projected from behind.
This ride is epic and the transformation of this picture you see when you walk into the ride is cool. The only thing is that you have to be one of the first ones to walk in to see the whole thing happen. If your the last then you only see him as a skeleton. favored and liked
No, this is the actual six stages of artwork used in the attraction, but I made the film and the morphing myself. The one in the attraction is much clearer and the morphing between images is even better, since it's a digital film.
@JOHNNYBIX38 A digital film? I thought so...it looks really sophisticated now. It used to be projected images, which slowly faded from one to the next, if I'm not mistaken. Now you can tell it's a single projected film. I wonder precisely when they changed it? The first several times I rode Disney World's mansion the portrait had already changed to a skeleton by the time I made it to where it was within my eyesight. I finally got to see the whole thing the last time I went.
@disneyclint They changed it to digital when the refurbished the whole attraction back in sept 2007. They also replaced Leota , little Leota and the singing busts in the graveyard, as well as added the new bride, with digital film technology.
My name is gracey

The voice sounds different obviously not Tony Jay he sounds more darker and badass why the hell did they have to change the voice.

JOHNNYBIX38 11 months ago
@JOHNNYBIX38 yes really because as you can see in the video it's a little slower
krummenlj 11 months ago
Audio timing is off just a little. Gracey should be done changing by the time Frees says "ghoulish delight"

@YELLIL2 are you referring to MY video? You should see the real portrait at WDW, totally off -sync.

How does it slowly change some kind of hologram in the portrait?
