The family band is from "Inner mongolia". the dialect and accent is different. Outer mongolian, or just mongolian dialect is a lot different. Inner mongolian dialect has changed a lot because of Chinese neighbourhood. Mongolians' dialect has changed a lot due to many years of peacely friendship to Russian Federation
I think most Chinese people from other ethnic groups cannot understand the lyrics. However, this song has a mandarin version, which the majority of Chinese can understand. In China, this song is usually sung twice, first in mongolian and then in mandarin.
Eingmas signature tune will always have a special resonance for me. Sitting in a taxi during a rainy Beijing evening, my newly adopted baby daughter gently cradled in arms, I was doing all I could to stop her crying when this song came over the speakers. For three minutes she lay there transfixed as the music caressed her tiny ears. When the song was over she relapsed into tears although much softer now. Two years later we still play this song to her. I now know every syllable. Maisies Daddy
It has a special resonance for me too, i was trying to quell a shark that had grappled onto my leg when this song came blaring from a nearby pirate ship(i had drifted out from the phillipines....

This song is sang by Mongolian these performers are Mongolians too. Mongolian language and chinese language are totally distinct languages. chinese tend to advertise Mongolian minorities as their stuff but it is totally different thing another tibet or shinjian uighuur bomb almost ready to explode all over the china and in the west.
Sally, Thank you for posting this. I first saw and heard this song performed last year while traveling in China and immediately it touched me even though I don't know Mandarin or Mongolian (and I have both Mongolian & Chinese in me :) I am especially grateful for the subtitles.

@99cvcc 小孩子怕什么,想想小时候参加文艺演出哪个不是兴高彩烈的,玩一样。大了以后,让他们这么跳才是为难呢。
