I like wp7, android, webOS, iOS, meego really everything but the wp7 ui is justb not pleasing to me I don't like how you can't change the background and the visual customization just isn't there much like ios

I have used Android for about a year now. I love the little green guy, but I am not afraid to admit that I love the WP7 UI. I'll be sticking to Android, but definitely looking into developing some similar-designed apps for Android (specifically, the "people app").

@jmurphy914, Yes that's why tons of Android and iPhone users have decided to use the WP7 UI. Convoluted? It's based on the Metro typography which revolutionised information design, if this is convoluted then you're calling most industrial designers failures for creating minimalistic yet functional products (that includes Apple products). WP7 cannot be convoluted if the entire product was designed to be easy and simple to use by anyone no matter age or technological understanding.

@jmurphy914, and btw, all these iPhone and Android users using the WP7 UI don't even use the stylish part of it which is the Zune UI (Panoramic w/ background image) and they are still content with the UI. That's telling you something whether people like you accept it or not, WP7 is beautiful because it's simple, not overly simple but enough to make any phone look fresh and exciting and it's only going to improve over time like iOS did.

Why oh why don't the android developers understand we don't like carrier apps. They could easily tell the carriers to make the apps removable or better yet make every app removable no matter what. And if the carrier refuses android says fuck off and the carriers will change their mind.

@J9429 except the whole idea behind Android is that it is a totally open OS so carriers and developers can do whatever they want with it basically. Google and the Android developers have little to say about that stuff. It's all up to the carrier and actual phone developer.

I'm planning to buy Windows Phone 7 (HTC Trophy), but one thing is simply "not letting" me =/

I would like to download games (Apps also) on my PC and then simply move them to my phone or .. Simply "root" the phone, and get the games from market. Is any of those two possible ?

I didn't decide yet, but I'm most likely gonna buy Trophy. Although if I can't get games / apps for free, than I might consider again HTC Desire.

Problem is that I don't have credit card (and I can't get one atm) =/

Is there Flash? When you zoom in on websites,does the text reconfigure so you can read without scrolling from side to side? My music is on Windows media player. Can Windows 7 grab my music from media player. I'm not familiar with Zune. I really use the To Do application on my BB. Does Windows 7 have To Do app pre-loaded?

an iOS device has pretty much the same organization flaw, just slightly different form. besides your favorite apps that are probly on the 1st screen (in this case the quickstart menu), u hav to search through various other pages for the app u want

WinPho 7 seems to be really smooth, but also very boring. I don't own any xbox (can't use xbox live), I hate hotmail. So this OS doesn't fit me so well...

@02Alan93 you don't have to use XBOX live and hotmail if you don't want to ? why is that a Problem ? all that is required is a Windwos Live ID to use the Market , but thats the same for other O.Ses as well, Apple asks you for a Itunes ID, Android needs a Gmail account etc..

@tarunrad I know I'm not forced to, but my point is: I'm not really a big fan of Microsoft services. And they particularly went hard on making Xbox live and Hotmail one of the best things in their OS. And therefore, it doesn't fit ME. Didn't say anyone else but me.

It's like: You don't have to use facetime, iTunes, the iPod if you really hate these things... but what's the point of buying an iPhone then?

I'm not even surprised about the landscape mode problem. If they want to steal smartphone users from Apple, it's all in their interest not to change details iPhone users are used to, i.e not using landscape mode every possible time.

Does it have wifi YES, does it do sms YES, does it go on the web YES, does it do email YES, does it make a call without losing noticeable signal YES. IDK looks like a good phone for me. Also a majority of the points that you suggested can be easily fixed, also half of the things you listed are also problems on the Iphone so is that a "dumb" phone too....?

i like that i can pin anything i want on the start screen if im reading a webpage and want to get to it later, i can pin that webpage on the start screen and see it later,

any website,contacts,photos can be pinned, so if you got a favorite picture,

you dont got to go through all your pictures to look for it, its right there on your start screen,
