Awesome car! It is one of the rare mk1/mk2 hybrids from the changeover period, i've only seen hatchback hybrids before this.
Useless fact, top gear destroyed a mk1/mk2 hatchback by blowing it away with a jumbo jet revving its engine on the runway.

jamesbatchelor - the mk2 is just a facelift of the mk1 chassis. All bolt on parts. The touring car boys get through a lot lol.

Theres strange, from the perspective of someone from the UK, the front end of this Mondeo is from a MK2, but the back end is from a MK1!
Still its great to see a Mondeo touring car again.
