The passage in question was a direct quotation from the Old Testament. Beyond that, Jesus was telling Satan himself -who was audaciously trying to tempt his own Creator- that he (who was previously a cherubim, was meant to constantly declare the Lord's Holiness) was to be bowing down to Jesus!
