  • Any idea where I can get the score for this arrangement? :) Thanks so much!! ^^

  • YES ILL BE WAITING IN SUNSHINE AND IN SHADOW!

  • hi, just wondering if you could tell me what arrangement this is/where I could get the music? Thanks x

  • Flutist, Flautist... same difference... just depends on where you from as to how you pronouce it. Both the Flutist and the flautist play the flute and/or piccolo

  • you dont play a flaut! you play a flute!!! jimmy galway always says flutist!! it makes more sense to me.

  • @EZRICH1 I prefer FLUTER

  • this song was played on the the actual titanic, survivors can remeber hearing it

  • it's crazy

  • You people are not that bright. The londonderry aire IS the original. It was first recorded in northern ireland by a flortist called James Ross. The fact that it is called the LONDONderry aire shows that its a Northern Irish traditional, not an irish/ norwegian one, albeit having been hijacked by people in america who mistakenly think they are irish.

Having said that it is a beautiful peice of music and both sides in northern ireland can sing it with pride, as the song danny boy illustrates.

  • you aint that bright either. I think you'll find its a flautist not a flortist. LOL.

  • acctually its flutist i believe:) we are playing this song with a quartet

  • no its FLAUTIST just to clear that up

  • i checked and i could be both :)

  • @chuckmonkey7337

actually you can use either term.

It's been debated for a long time, it was different for different periods.

Now I think people have stopped arguing and just accepted both

  • too add something to that londonerry is a port in northern ireland thus the name

  • interesting, so we could say james ross was inspired by the name :D

  • danny boy!

  • This song/melody is the inspiration behind "you rise me up", which is a Irish/Norwegian song. So you are probably right about it sounding like at some parts

  • I KNEW some of the parts sounded so familiar. But I couldn't put my finger on where. Thank you!

  • starting at 2:04 it sounded like "you Raise Me Up" but i might be wrong...

  • "You raise me up" and "Danny Boy" are both based on the same tune, that is the "Londonderry air". :-)

(My source for this information is wikipedia)

  • oh okay. thanks

  • You flautists rock!!! I hope to play as well as you one day!!!
