Tax law is martial law! Martial law is something that we think we are immune to and then one day, FEMA camp. You are property of the government from the day of birth, actually when your mama signs the birth certificate (property statement/promissory note for your allegiance/labor). It appears Hovind fell pray to the evils of money and forgot his first love (The CREATOR). He knew about the 7 deadly sins...But, Hovind was nothing more than a vessel who seems to have chosen mammon over God.
I like the way Hovind says "You can teach your religion (of evolution)in public schools, but not with MY tax money!" He never paid any fuggin taxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is why he is in prison. What a lying hypocrite.

@TheUNRealOne47 There's no country in the whole wide world that has a law that says you don't have to pay taxes. There hasn't been any group of people in history that didn't have some sort of taxes. Didn't Jesus take pitty on a tax collector? Oh yes he did. So taxes are as old as the bible. Next, ur gonna tell me the Bible is un-American in spirit.
YOU LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you do it badly, at that.
@jtyoung18 Why do people listen to these idiots? What a couple of shining examples of true Christian morality and enlightenment. I couldn't believe Springmeier actually convinced somebody to rob a bank. The three got a total of $6000 and about 20 years. That's $300 per year, not to mention all the confiscated guns apparently including a copy of a 1919 Browning machine gun and explosives including hand grenades. Reportedly they're members of the Army of God aka American Taliban.
@jtyoung18 For a real hoot look up "john todd illuminati" This guy claims to have been a member of the Illuminati and to have practiced witchcraft before being "saved" through an exorcism. He's tied in with Springmeier which is how I found the link. One tape purports to contain "spells". He seems to think that the Rothschild family is the head of the Illuminati Britain.
@jtyoung18 It's the same old world order we've had for almost 2000 years, the Catholic hierarchy, the big rich, the cops and the crooks but not necessarily in that order and the categories overlap, e.g. crooks and the Catholic hierarchy. Go freaking learn about NON PROFIT organizations and how they work idiot!! He didn't earn the money - people supported him and it happened that many supported him!!
If you want people to listen to what you have to say can you at least make yourself look presentable? That shirt you wear is very sloppy looking with the big neck it has. I once worked at a place where a mentally challenged man would wear shirts like that. Makes me wonder if anyone looked after him.
You actually can serve notice to gov. that you're a sovereign citizen you will be come exempt from many things that are governed by statutory law. I've seen people successfully pull this off but... "Congress has the right to levy taxes on any income derived". These taxes must be "apportioned". "Hiding things" interferes in their ability and right to apportion. You must accurately disclose your holdings. That's why he went to jail. Had he truthfully disclosed his true worth he'd still be free.
One day you will bow to God and see that he is king. Whether you bow because you are happy to or because you have no choice but to is your choice. I'd recommend the first.
@Desertphile I remember someone telling me that "Jesus loves me"one Sunday morning several years ago after a my morning beer purchase. To her, I responded "I'm not into men or necrophilia." She walked away. I drank my beer in the sweet air of Sunday morning victory. Your reply, here, reminds me of that exchange.
Yes, yes sir he is. He believes dinosaurs lived with men until "the big flood" He believes that men used to live to be 900+ years old. He believes he does not have to pay taxes..... If there is an alternate definition of retarded...Kent Hovind is it...
All I know is that the world is better off without Hovind free in it. His lies are at least somewhat restrained now. I would say thank "god"...if there was one.
he's just using creationism to get money... I think he knows exactly how stupid the ideas he's talking about are, but he just choose to ignore it because the ideas can give him money and power
lol there is no need to do so because his "theories" are already pretty plausible to those creationist out there..
you don't need any "plausible" theories to convince creationist... you just need to stick to the bible and attach the name "god" behind every crazy theory you can come up with, and people will believe you.
this is why Hovind was making 1-2 millions dollars a year from his theme park alone before he got caught. (oo you got to see what kind of theme park it is :D wiki it)
Learn to spell and dictate before you take on creationism. It's way too BIG for you. Give your life to Jesus and be saved. Just ask your mom to help you send the mail. Bye Bye
Friend, please be VERY careful how you judge Kent Hovind.
Yes, he is very guilty of the crime for which he was charged, and he was clearly criminal in his actions. He is receiving a just sentence, according to Romans chapter 13.
But BEWARE your own heart. For God is surely not mocked, and will surely reward you for YOUR sins when you stand before Him.
But I say to you that every idle word, whatever men may speak, they shall give account of it in the day of judgment. (Matthew 12:36)
Wow just wow! Then again if you can belief in creationism..then you can belief you don't have to pay taxes. Even so far to creature "vehicles" of cash transferring to keep it out of sight!
My daughter, Katie Knudson was murdered and her killer got two and a half years in prison. Fuck all the courts. He gets ten years for not paying the feds. I know where their priorities "lie.
What cracks me up is that in numerous debates Hovind made comments to the effect that he would not pay (taxes I assume) to have evolution taught in public schools. In hindsight, that was a true statement considering that he never paid taxes.
This video has to be a joke, the guy in the video is a not a joke, he is clearly insane. Why do cowards make these video's -because Hovind is in Jail and he's a christain. I'd love to see desertshit make a video of some mad gangland killer who lived close to him. Yeah there no chance of that, let's pick on Mr Nice guy let's kick him while he's down. Grow up desertshit get a life shave learn to talk through your mouth not your ass.
This is stupid!what he had was a ministry (a Church)which means that it is not a business!so that means he does not have to pay tax's.he just made alot of people mad because he was right and they wanted to shut him up!and you are ignorant if you think that the cops and judges all obey the law?lol and again you left out the part were Mr.Hovind said if he did break any laws(which he did not)then he would pay for the tax's he owed but he is a man of principle!
"This is stupid!what he had was a ministry (a Church)which means that it is not a business!so that means he does not have....."
None of Rev Hovind's businesses were churches; none of them were or are tax-exempt. All of his properties except his residence were for-profit businesses; he never applied for tax-exemption status.
do you actually know what C.S.E stands for?Creation Science (Evangelism) He did not pay his tax's because in this country if you are a evangelist then that is not considered income!and Kent Hovind was not running around in a nice car or had a big fancy house he was using the money to support his ministry!and he did try to contact the irs but they never returned his letters or calls he did try and get everything straitened out before this happened!but they didnt care they wanted him in jail
"do you actually know what C.S.E stands for?Creation Science (Evangelism)...."
Yes, which was and is a for-profit business: Rev Hovind said so. None of Rev Hovind's facilities and organizations are tax-exempt. You'll just have to adjust your immature emotions to deal with that fact. Sorry.
when did he say that?Because everything that I have read and heard was that he had all of his workers considered missionary's so he could make this 100% a non-profit organization but you do know that the IRS should not even exist!it is unconstitutional for us to pay most of the taxes that we do.But I guess that since I am "immature" I will just go somewhere else and just be a little kent hovind showing people that evolution is a lie and that God is real...but nice way to try and insult me:)lol
"when did he say that?Because everything that I have read and heard w...."
His employees said they were employees. Please read the on-line newspaper articles on the case: they explain exactly Hovind's crimes and his criminal behavior, including hiding behind claims of tax-exemption status he and his employees do not have and never had.
Note also that "missionaries" are required to pay income tax.
I work for a state university; I am an employee, but it is still a non-profit organization. Just because you make money does not mean you are a for-profit org.
Now if he refused to do the propper paper work to gain tax exemption (or didnt know he had to which I find hard to believe) then that is a different story.
It all seems kind of shady to me. Anyway, just because the dude screwed up his taxes doesnt mean he didnt have legitimate points regarding certain scientific theories.
That's true. The fact that he doesn't have any legitimate points regarding certain scientific theories is completely independent of the fact that he's a criminal and con artist.
It's always giggle-worthy to hear someone with a third-grade command of English attempt to lecture others on tax law. It's particularly chuckalicious when they follow up with "The IRS just hates Kent 'cuz they're secretly controlled by Big Evolution!"
The IRS doesn't care if you're a Creationist, an atheist, or a Rastafarian...just as long as you pay your fair share.
Translation: you were unable to spot any error in my video, and that frustrated your tiny little occult-befuddled Creationist ego, so you had to resort to insult.
"I don't know how you can put up with a tyrannical government."
Yes 9\11 was an inside job and income tax is voluntary unconstitutional illegal against the supreme courts ruling. And its morally wrong to
tax a mans labor. The federal reserve is a private bank that answers to no one. Our money is backed by nothing. Actually its just a piece of paper, whatever made you people think it had value anyway!?
Actually it is a piece of paper who's ink is so toxic, that the Fed isn't allowed to burn the stuff that is no longer machine readable. It has to be dumped in a site for toxic waste.
LOL, you opitomize the movement against Hovind. You are ignorant, fat, uneducated and most of all cluless. Please continue to speak out against Kent Hovind, you are helping out side.
It doesnt, in fact the IRS has no right to collect income tax from anyone under the constitution, but they have been fucking people over for years. Imagine if u were audited, it would be you against the IRS. You would not win.
"God wouldn't do that to his own"...aren't we all God's own? being a bit elitist aren't we. taxes are illegal, where do you get that funny notion from, did you write the law did you? is it in the bible or something? and anyway it was kent hovind who all upset that tax money was being spent on teaching evolution and not ID, he never said tax was illegal, altough he knew what he was doing was.
It's not two different things. Both Cryer and Hovind were acquitted of tax evasion. Cryer wasn't convicted because no on could show him what law states he had to pay taxes. Because there isn't one. It says it's voluntary.
Any way, Hovind is tax exempt because he has non-profit status.
Now Hovind can sue because he was falsely imprisoned. It will happen sooner than you think. :)
please, just answer the question, where does it say that taxes are illegal, where?...you can't because just like evoulution, you don't understand what it is you are against.
"By god's own means those who believe in him and follow his word."
Perhaps you would be kind enough to share this astonishing and unprecedented words from the gods with the rest of the planet. Why are you keeping it secret?
I have seen the court documents. The first two charges were for things from 10-15 years ago in which Dr. Hovind proved he sought legal advice and followed it. He was given bad advise. The tax attorney's who gave the bad advice should be on trail. THE THIRD CHARGE is blatant religious discrimination. He was charged with threatening a government agency because he PRAYED for the IRS!
"I have seen the court documents. The first two charges were for things from 10-15 years ago in which Dr. Hovind proved he sought legal advice and followed it. He was given bad advise."
I don't know of any "Dr. Hovind:" the subject of the video is Rev. Kent Hovind. He was told by everyone on the planet to obey the law--- yet he crowed with pride when saying he evaded paying taxes for twenty-five years. If he did not believe he was committing crimes, why did he try to hide his crimes?
I wonder how much property tax this aboriginal acid freak 60's holdover draft dodging vietnam era ass-fuck pays on his broke down army surplus tent down by the river? Stupid fucker!
"I wonder how much property tax this aboriginal acid freak 60's holdover draft...."
Instead of just trying to insult me, if you spotted anything I said in this video that is wrong, by all means please do tell me what the error(s) is/are so that I will not repeat my mistake in the future. I will very much appreciate it. Thank you.
It's clear to me that IRS agents were in fact agents of Satan. Further, the laws relating to Income Tax and the laws of Physics simply do not apply to Mr Hovind.
Forgive me for not using the title of Reverend or Doctor, but I doubt the validity of either.
I have heard it said that only 2 things in life are guaranteed, death and taxes... oh, and defecation. Mr Hovind manifestly denies the first 2 of these, but as Christopher Hitchins might say of Mr Hovind, "if you gave him an enema, you could bury him in a matchbox".
Instead of just trying to insult me, if you spotted anything I said in this video that is wrong, by all means please do tell me what the error(s) is/are so that I will not repeat my mistake in the future. I will very much appreciate it. Thank you.
Wow I wasn't flamed by anyone? Honestly, this was more of a joke between me and a friend to see how many people would flame me for sticking up for a christian. Although I do admire Hovind, you have made decent arguments in the videos I've seen so far except the one about you disproving him being a science teacher. I didn't quite understand how you disproved he was a science teacher. Maybe I missed something, or Im the "stupid hick" and I just didn't realize it...
WikiPedia has an excellent article about Hovind and his tax-evasion behavior; his declaration is linked to that article. At the moment Wikipedia appears to be down.
Hovind was not a science teacher. He NEVER taught science in a high school. What Hovind means when he states that he taught high school science for X number of years is that he taught "science" in SUNDAYSCHOOL. This is hearsay, but I belive it is likely true. So take it with a grain of salt.
There are churches all over the country that aren't incorporated and don't pay taxes. Plus there are 60 million people in the US who don't pay income taxes.
Watch the video "freedom to fascism" for starters. You'll see there are no laws requiring citizens to pay an income tax after you do some research. Then I suggest you do some objective research about the Hovind case. Also research the Lordship church and Robin Wright for info on 501c3 incorporations. I think you've got some homework to do and I hope nobody is influenced by what you have said before properly researching these areas.
"You'll see there are no laws requiring citizens to pay an income tax...."
There are over 100 laws regarding the fact that USA citizens are required to pay income tax. Please consult any tax accountant, tax lawyer, or IRS agent.
Please cite the statute then. For a Federal income tax. I'm asking you to do the research this time. Don't just deny my statement. Lets see the law. If you've got lets see it.
I am uploading a video with the citations right now. By the way, how the bloody fuck do you explain Rev Hovind being arrested and put on trial and convicted for his refusal to pay income tax if there's no law mandating he must?
I'm not going to argue with you anymore. You don't seek the truth so there is nothing more I can do. I hope you take the time to actually research what is going on. I just had to make my point so that people reading these comments will also look into these topics, rather than allowing you to poison more minds.
You would be foolish to do so. You may learn all about the laws regarding income tax from the free publications available at the IRS web site. Good luck, and if you have trouble with the big words ask an adult to help you sound them out.
I don't know where you are getting your information. This was not a case about income taxes. Unincorporated churches don't pay taxes. Lindsay Springer will give you the facts about this case.
Well its my word agains yours then. I've provided research for you to look up a couple comments below. Hope they help you in your research. I think you'll find there are no laws requiring an income tax therefore this case couldn't be about income taxes.
No, it is your work against the IRS's word. Churches are required to pay income tax: even tax-exempt churches, under 503(c)3 are required to pay taxes on their income. That is the law.
I'm not talking about tax-exempt churches. I'm talking about unincorporated associations. By exempting that means the gov't has the authority. Uninorporated churches don't recognize the the authority and therefore don't pay taxes. Hundreds of churches do this.
Instead of just trying to insult me, if you spotted anything I said in this video that is wrong, by all means please do tell me what the error(s) is/are. I will very much appreciate it. Thank you.
"I am amazed a knob like you can use a cam corder....."
If you spotted anything I said in this video that is wrong, by all means please do tell me what the error(s) is/are. I will very much appreciate it. Thank you.
I like one interesting little point about this whole ordeal. If Kent Hovind is not a credited scientist/doctor, then why wasn't that issue brought to the legal system? If he is in jail for 10 years for tax reasons, why wasn't that part of the sentencing? It's a known fact that he is a fraud, yet no criminal charges for it? Let's push forward on it, make it 20 years!
He is in prison because the Federal government wants him there. Kent PAID his taxes, state, property, sales, etc. etc. just not the illegal INCOME TAX (there is now LAW requiring you to pay a direct tax on your wages, especially regarding an establishment of religion i.e. a non incorporated Church organization). Kent Hovind is unjustly in prison for a non-crime!
Actually it was a non-crime, he was told that since he was part of a non-profit organization that he didn't have to tax his employees, they later on changed their minds and are now throwing him in prison, you need to get your facts straight before you diss someone who cares enough about peoples lives to save them from going to hell. You have some mixed up priorities, if you wish to go to hell, then so be it, but why take other people there with you?
"...he was told that since he was part of a non-profit organization that he didn't...."
Rev Hovind was not part of any non-profit organization. His cult and all of his businesses were for-profit, and he said so. Also, he was told constantly by his lawyers and by the IRS that he was required to pay into the social security fund. So--- YOU ARE A LIAR. Do your gods approve of your lying?
Im not lying, but i do know that my God does not approve of your blasphemy. it is a non profit organization, he doesnt charge for his debates or anything else he does. i dont see how not charging for shows makes him a profit based organization. i am not lying, the IRS at first told him that he didnt have to tax, now they change their minds, where do you hear all of your information, besides from gossip and media? if it wasnt for gossip and media then you would have no support for your argument
"but i do know that my God |sic| does not approve of your blasphemy."
Funny how yours gods can't talk for themselves, but you have to do that for them, eh?
None of Rev Hovind's organizations and businesses are non-profit; none of them are tax-exempt. Hovind deliberately evaded laws, and he deliberately committed crimes. None of that has anything to do with the gods.
he was doing what he was told to do, that doesnt make him a theif, what if you were at a store and the owner told you that you could take something, does that make you a theif too then even though the person in charge allowed you to do it? i dont have GodS, i have a God, i dont know what makes you think that he cant talk for himself either? who is your god? does he talk to you? i havent heard him talk, so you must be at the same level as me, you are hipocriticle
He was told to steal, lie, cheat, and threaten physical harm against law enforcement agents? I find that extremely hard to believe. And if he *WAS* told to do that, why would he obey?
yes, thanks for using my quote, he didnt steal, i could see how that was misconstued, but explain how he lied, cheated, and threatened physical harm of law enforcement officials..please do tell, why is he such a threat to you? what if you were told peronsally by a head official of the IRS that you no longer had to pay taxes, would you just say "no, i would rather not save money, i would love to be as close to bankrupcy as possible"? i think not, i know mental ppl who could make that decision
You have an annoying voice

RadarKat73080 3 years ago
Yes, yes sir he is. He believes dinosaurs lived with men until "the big flood" He believes that men used to live to be 900+ years old. He believes he does not have to pay taxes..... If there is an alternate definition of retarded...Kent Hovind is it...

RadarKat73080 2 years ago
lol there is no need to do so because his "theories" are already pretty plausible to those creationist out there..
you don't need any "plausible" theories to convince creationist... you just need to stick to the bible and attach the name "god" behind every crazy theory you can come up with, and people will believe you.
this is why Hovind was making 1-2 millions dollars a year from his theme park alone before he got caught. (oo you got to see what kind of theme park it is :D wiki it)

Rev Hovind is a violent felon: that is why he is in prison. You will just have to deal with that fact.

Desertphile 3 years ago
do you actually know what C.S.E stands for?Creation Science (Evangelism) He did not pay his tax's because in this country if you are a evangelist then that is not considered income!and Kent Hovind was not running around in a nice car or had a big fancy house he was using the money to support his ministry!and he did try to contact the irs but they never returned his letters or calls he did try and get everything straitened out before this happened!but they didnt care they wanted him in jail
downloader33188 3 years ago
"do you actually know what C.S.E stands for?Creation Science (Evangelism)...."
Yes, which was and is a for-profit business: Rev Hovind said so. None of Rev Hovind's facilities and organizations are tax-exempt. You'll just have to adjust your immature emotions to deal with that fact. Sorry.
Desertphile 3 years ago
when did he say that?Because everything that I have read and heard was that he had all of his workers considered missionary's so he could make this 100% a non-profit organization but you do know that the IRS should not even exist!it is unconstitutional for us to pay most of the taxes that we do.But I guess that since I am "immature" I will just go somewhere else and just be a little kent hovind showing people that evolution is a lie and that God is real...but nice way to try and insult me:)lol
downloader33188 3 years ago
"when did he say that?Because everything that I have read and heard w...."
His employees said they were employees. Please read the on-line newspaper articles on the case: they explain exactly Hovind's crimes and his criminal behavior, including hiding behind claims of tax-exemption status he and his employees do not have and never had.
Note also that "missionaries" are required to pay income tax.
Desertphile 3 years ago
I work for a state university; I am an employee, but it is still a non-profit organization. Just because you make money does not mean you are a for-profit org.
Now if he refused to do the propper paper work to gain tax exemption (or didnt know he had to which I find hard to believe) then that is a different story.
It all seems kind of shady to me. Anyway, just because the dude screwed up his taxes doesnt mean he didnt have legitimate points regarding certain scientific theories.
cheesdog 3 years ago

Straw man. I didn't say otherwise. Rev Hovinds businesses are all for-profit.

Straw man. I didn't say otherwise. His assertions are false because they are false, not because Hovind is a crook, liar, cheat, and violent nutcase.

Watch the video "freedom to fascism" for starters. You'll see there are no laws requiring citizens to pay an income tax after you do some research. Then I suggest you do some objective research about the Hovind case. Also research the Lordship church and Robin Wright for info on 501c3 incorporations. I think you've got some homework to do and I hope nobody is influenced by what you have said before properly researching these areas.

drvenkman16 3 years ago
"Well its my word agains yours then."
No, it is your work against the IRS's word. Churches are required to pay income tax: even tax-exempt churches, under 503(c)3 are required to pay taxes on their income. That is the law.
Desertphile 3 years ago
I'm not talking about tax-exempt churches. I'm talking about unincorporated associations. By exempting that means the gov't has the authority. Uninorporated churches don't recognize the the authority and therefore don't pay taxes. Hundreds of churches do this.

He is in prison because the Federal government wants him there. "he was doing what he was told to do"
He was told to steal, lie, cheat, and threaten physical harm against law enforcement agents? I find that extremely hard to believe. And if he *WAS* told to do that, why would he obey?

yes, thanks for using my quote, he didnt steal, i could see how that was misconstued, but explain how he lied, cheated, and threatened physical harm of law enforcement officials..please do tell, why is he such a threat to you? what if you were told peronsally by a head official of the IRS that you no longer had to pay taxes, would you just say "no, i would rather not save money, i would love to be as close to bankrupcy as possible"? i think not, i know mental ppl who could make that decision

He was tried by a jury and found guilty of those crimes, and more. You are trying to defend an evil, sick, despicable human being--- why?
