ahh.. i finally understand this:) why try to learn something from a stupid book when you have youtube.. and if you become a teacher stay with the oldschool pen and paper.. had a teacher this year that never used anything else and everybody likes that.. been voted best teacher for like 10 years in a row.. like you dont learn anything from the powerpoint shit. hope i get a question about this on my exam.. gonna kill it..heh
I have watched all 4 videos and gained more than pages after pages of text and illustrations elsewhere. Your exposition is indeed thorough and illuminating. Thank you so much.
You are amazing! Im having a major test next week. It's the physiology exam, im stuying medicine in Sweden. This lecture beats the hell out of the professor we had at school trying to explain lipoprotein physiology. You're really a very good teacher! Thanks and regards from Sweden! ;)
Thank you very much. You make things so clear. I am a visual learner and I love your drawings anyway I could please get a pdf of this and I can print it please? Thanks in advance
Awesome!! I'm learning for my medical exam and this is just what I needed! Keep up with that and thanks for sharing. I wish our profs (in Germany) would be as good as you are.
Your art is amazing, explanations precise and clear, the pace and level of speech is perfect, and the background music is soothing! As has been said before...you are a natural. Thank you for sharing.
amazing! I saw them all! You guys are born with the gift of teaching! All of my greatest professors through med school have been from india and pakistan. Im guessing you are asian as well...
very good videos but where is the apo A and apo B on the chylomicron....it should be on there too...i thought...my lecture book and notecards....wait i think he just explained it...lol
Thank you. I am working on my doctorate in PH, Preventive Care. Therefore I need to know CVD inside and out. The overview series, 1-4, is a great way to brush up on the basics of biochemistry that is integral to CVD. Thanks again.
Going on a restricted diet or taking medications is really not fun. I'm 58, and still consider myself too young to be popping pills for my cholesterol. I exercised, ate my fiber, cut out fatty foods, all that, and still had high LDL. Some sort of pill was the only option but I REFUSED to go on Rx meds. I knew there had to be a natural solution somewhere and was absolutely thrilled to find Sterolyn. I don't mind taking this, 'cause I know it's preventing further harm, not causing it.
All your videos have been extremely useful, informative, easy to understand. You have a gift and may GOD bless you. Best Wishes and Good Luck in any thing you want to achieve.
hi i am currently doing a school project on apolipoprotein A1. In my project, im using aspirin to increase the apolipoprotein expression and hence increase cholesterol efflux. i have several questions regarding it.
Firstly, since apolipoprotein is only a part of HDL, would increasing the apolipoprotein level increase the HDL concentration in the blood and hence increase efflux? or does apolioprotein function independently to remove cholesterol?
Thank you so much for creating these videos! They are very helpful. I have to write a paper about apolipoprotein A-1 (Milano) and needed information about the basics of apolipoproteins. Thanks again!
This is one of the best and most complete review that I ever encounter in my preparation for the USMLE exams, it is more than very good ,indeed, rather it is excellent. At least for my particular taste regarding USMLE review. God bless your soul for sharing this with many others.
Dat was really easy to understand! thanks so much I now can understand the really confusing diagram in my pharmacology text and understand why lipoproteins are important for cholesterol. You are a Legend!

Saturated fats raise HDL by delaying apo-A-1 clearance while unsat fats enhance apo A-1 clearance lowering HDL. Omega 3 and low carb diets decrease liver VLDL secretion and thus increase HDL. Omega 6 reduces apo-A-1 production=> lowers HDL. Alcohol ups apoA-1 and apo A-11 raising HDL. Coffee lowers HDL via lowering LCAT and increasing CETP activities. Calorie restriction ups HDL.
