  • what wacom do it come with the pc

  • i want to buy this.

but would a wacom pen with pen pressure work on this?

i only want to use it for drawing in photoshop and sbp

you recommend it or some other product

  • this is the best product for the price unless u want to buy a Lenovo x200 Tablet which is $1,500+ comes without a mouse track pad and a slower processor and ram. I would go with this. This laptop has a Wacom Pen Digitizer and it is sufficiently fast with Photoshop. If u have $2K-5K to waste go buy a Modbook. But i would suggest this

  • cool what kind of laptop is that?

  • HP Pavilion tx2500z. There should be some review videos of it on youtube.

  • wacom intuos3

  • it sorta looks like theres a slight lag

  • That's the purpose of the video. My drawing style uses fast long strokes. Hopefully you will be able to gauge if the responsiveness is enough for you. When I was shopping for the tablet PC, other artist's drawing demos featured short sketchy strokes and I wasn't able see what amount of lag was present. So When I got my machine, I made this video.

  • helped alot.

    thanks

  • can anyone recommend a decent tablet for someone that's barely getting into drawing on one. i would hate to go out and spend alot of money on something that has alot of applications that i dont need at the beginning

  • try gateway, when I bought mine it was around $1000 its a good tablet

  • i bought the new tx2 and i fucking love it lol the drawing program is ok which i didnt expect but i might still download sketchbook pro or gimp, but buy it if ur having a hard time choosing

  • Thanks for the advice. I meant it is heavy enough that you would want a firm hold on it at all times, to prevent yourself from accidentally dropping it.

The Video is ATi HD 3200. I don't think theres a membrane on it. The screen is touch sensitive but the stylus is more accurate.

  • if the screen is touch sensitive, can u rest ur hand on the screen surface while drawing without confusing the touch screen?

  • I tend to avoid resting my hand on the screen out of habit( I used to have a tablet that was purely touch sensitive) but I think it allows some pressure on the screen without problems. You have to press on it with enough pressure to one spot to for the touch screen.

  • Actually they say that when the digitizing pen is an inch from the screen, it will not do anything if your hand touches it at the same time. So no mess ups, and you can rest your hand on it while you draw. But I don't know if it is the same for tx2z or not.

  • Try holding it by the battery in the left had if right-handed. Also is there a membrane over the glass (like oldschool PDA's)?? Lastly is the video card an ATi HD3200 or an NVidia ?? Thanks.

  • Yeah! I like it. It is fast enough on stuff like thin lines, but if you need effects or thick lines, the delay is more visible. This is my first laptop, so I don't have any experience to judge it against others. I got the model with the fastest cpu and largest battery. It's heavy enough that I don't trust using only one hand on it to pick it up from its long end. The rotating screen was a bonus. I can read my ebooks and view/draw artwork in portrait mode.

  • I'm getting this 4 christmas. do u like it?
