The Quran also states that the world is still flat, and that sperm is produced between the pelvis and ribs. It says that thunder is caused by an angel with a whip, that birds fly because Allah holds them up, and that fruits have a gender. That statement in the Koran that the heavens are held up without any support is hardly a scientific revelation. If it's so scientific it wouldn't be saying the heavens are "held up" at all, since the statement makes no sense. Space isn't something that needs "holding up". Not putting down the spiritual messages of the Koran, but am saying this is no scientific understanding premature for its time in history.

There can be no such thing as scientific miracles. Miracles are caused by supernatural forces (Allah, God, Zeus, FSM). Science can only study phenomena that have natural causes by definition. The two are mutually exclusive.

Furthermore, "Allah sent down to humanity, the Q'uran." This is a blatant falsehood put in flowery language as a disguise. Men wrote the Q'uran.

and its only 1 book. it has there is not even 1 single word that had changed!!

and it doesent have detailed information or explained theories but it happened in a lot of verses that some words were used in statements were they approve scientific theories that only those days were revealed

lol unfortunately you can't "prove" anything without details. Anything else is just plain leaps of faith. I could just as easily say that the ancient Egyptians belief in Ra (God of Sun) defeating Apophis (God of Night) every day predicted the Sun's balance between gravity trying to crush it and the light emanating from nuclear fusion. You see what I did there? I was looking for a pattern and I found it just like what you're doing with the Quaran.

Just did. I may not know more about embryology but I can tell you he made a false assumption on the people of that time. He said no one could have possibly known how to describe a somite even though they are 2.55 millimeters long (the size of a fly). If anyone had a miscarriage of an embryo that young, they would be able to see it and describe how it has "chewed up" features.

Every other claim is not that impossible to guess. Fruit grows by hanging, they could have assumed that. Not impressed.

i personally find those miracles useful when you are already a believer.. just that they give you an inner peace within.. and a strong confidence that you are on the right path..

You can't assume that about me. I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong because I have before. I was raised Muslim and over my lifetime I have researched and studied what true science is, not guesswork by trying to see how the Quran fits into the science and saying "SEE! THEY KNEW IT FIRST!" Well if they did, why didn't they create technology from it.

The process of obtaining knowledge is not done through holy books but by studying/practicing on your own.

As for the alaqua being something that hangs, it is really a big leap of assertion to say it doesn't also mean a blood clot as someone else pointed out. It seems like the old preconceived notion that people used to believe that sperm met with menstrual blood.

Even if it did mean something which hangs, you wouldn't need microscopic technology to make that assumption. Just look around in nature. Fruit from trees hangs as it gets bigger, or even fertilized chicken eggs would reveal that.

I am not saying it was done in one man's life time. I am quite certain, like in all holy books, the stories and lessons are acquired knowledge over time. A lot of scientific knowledge comes from Arabs who were in the dessert and lead simple lives (Astronomy/Chemistry). Their ability to just observe the world around them is not that profound.

I believe you are really underestimating ability of a pair of human eyes. The best first discoveries were made in simple lives in nature.

That's exactly what I meant. It didn't have to be only him. All holy books in modern major religions (including the Quran) have old stories and lessons rewritten into them. The overall acquired knowledge of people over many generations would have been enough. Even if it was never written down and only spoken orally from one person to another, you still would have people capable of knowing this 1400 years ago. I'm sure Prophet Muhammad met a lot of people in his life who could have told him that.

Furthermore, if you think it would be impossible to see then you are mistaken. It wouldn't take just one but possibly MANY miscarriages to realize this. Over a long period of time if anyone has their eyes open long enough they will realize the progressive formation of the fetus from its somite stage just by measuring the time. This woman was only 1 week after conception or 2 weeks after conception. It doesn't take a genius or a literate to piece together what points in time a fetus takes shape.

So this scientific claim aside, you think I should take the leap of blind faith that so many do just because everyone else thinks it is right? Why should I believe in one God? Why should I believe if your one God? What makes him so much more special? Just because you grew up hearing your ayas and surats and it makes you feel all warm and special inside, everyone else should do the same? What about believers in the Sun God Ra? Science is the systematic approach to answering a question with observation, educated explanations, testing, and conclusive data. We must not parade holy books around as a means to discover how the world works by guessing what ways to read certain words, that is not science, that is guessing and finding order in chaos.

Good, that is my only qualm. I have no problem with anyone who seeks to better themselves and the people around them with morals and ethics, so long as they don't try to enforce their ideals on others or use it to explain the nature of the world. That is no place for assumptive guesswork between what words mean as people in these videos try to suggest.

Personally, I find peace within myself and I am very proud of what Islam taught me (virtues) but I simply don't believe in the supernatural.
