  • Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your reply- yes, the RC hobby can get VERY expensive. Motors for these large and heavy models can run into the thousands. I applaud your eye for precision. Your explanations of the building process are very clear and straight forward.

I'm also a bog fan of the Learjet, -(ALL series!).

I do aviation art. So far I have United Airlines Lear 23 trainer and the Lear 60XR. Feel free to check out my sketches. They're extremely detailed and might serve as reference. Here's a link

  • I like the sophisticated expensive look of scheme #8. Congrats on keeping the proportions fairly exact. Note: The cockpit windows are very distinct on the 50-60 series. The outlines look a bit oversized; especially the small sidelights. Just an observation :)

Can't wait to see your project in flight. Btw: What type of paint do you use on Styrofoam? Water based? Most paints melt this natural.

Thanks and Congrats on an impressive build!

    Hotelgulf-

  • Thanks for your comment and yes I use water base paint. well I really want to fly it but in the second attempt to fly one of the engines burn out : ( and I'm waiting till I can buy a pair of good quality motors

  • @NoobyRC I been looking for it and I can not find it

  • How did you get the foam to shape like that? really nice

  • @NoobyRC with a piece of wood and a little patience

watch this vid for details '' scratch build learjet 55 (part 2) ''

  • Nice Job! I think #4 would look good

  • P.S. You get 5 stars.

  • Definitely #1 Red Bull. The earth magnets on the engine nacelles is a great idea. Also having your ESCs in the nacelle for max cooling is a great idea.

  • Great job my friend...

  • 4is amazing

  • 5 and 8 look more pro and high standard.

  • the two-tone of 8 looks really professional. any of the whites are nice, but the two-tone helps with orientation.

  • Daniel just another fine piece of work. As far as the color scheme goes I like #4 but #1 is also cool. Hope you get the esc soon so we can see this thing maiden soon. Hey check out my vid

  • number 4 is the best one

  • The fade out blue of number 4 is very cool

  • I like #9 but then I like orange! Looks great Daniel, Hope your ESC arrives soon, & good luck with the maiden flight!

    jb

  • i think 4

  • Great job on the build. I pick #3

  • great plane my friend, but your servos your using the HS55's are junk, its a shame to build such a nice plane and use such crappy servos

  • great job!! i think you should paint it 1 or 9 but i like 1 the best : )

  • 6 is very elegant, but i prefer 4, Then, check the grey and black I sent you, it's my real favorite.

  • White and red or Grey and black. I will send you pictures, if i can with youtube.

  • Looks great! I would say I like #8( first choice ) or #1.This Jet should fly pretty scale.

  • Looks awesome so far Daniel. Your craftsmanship is super. I hope yout maiden flight is perfect. Thanks for sharing your cool plane!

    Paul
