  • whats the songs name?

  • @swecrusader Babilonia - Born Again

  • I have an G73-SW which is more expensive then the JH but it doesnt include that awesome blue LED under the screen.. how ironic...

  • @deadmau5nl more expensive now.. compare the prices from the JH and the SW at launch.. i bought my JH at launch and the SW it's same price now.. almost more than a year passed by :D

  • You do realize that this will have no effect, due to the fact that air intake is on top, in the keyboard?

  • @Zitozu what? in witch part of the keyboard? there are no intakes on the keyboard.. sorry to say..

  • @gajomau it is true that some newer laptops are being designed to suck air in through the keyboard and the bottom of the laptops but dont worry this will still help even if ur laptop does cool through the keyboard as well.

  • @Bish1013 i know that.. but this one doesn't work that way.. :D

  • Comment removed

  • BABILONIAAAAA tum tum tum tum!

  • i using notebook cooler from cooler master the notepal infinte color it help a lot..when i not using it my gpu max 86c ..now i using it my temp gpu max 80c only.. now it only 76c when online youtube..my power plan is power4gear high performance..the problem is its small..

  • @inceptionplus 76c on YT?! clean Your laptop from the dust.. My got 40c without cooler master junk.

  • Cool vid, but u got toomuch time on your hands

  • The G73 DOESN'T NEED extra cooling, it runs at ~160*F when playing aion on max graphics, Crysis runs at like 170, which is great, an engineering miracle given the hardware in the g73. Plus blowing air into the intakes on the bottom will damage them, forced acceleration and all that is a BAD IDEA. Plus a fan that big does next to nothing, they move air too slowly.

  • @Scythels damage what? stop making stupid comments..

  • @gajomau damage the fans, they're not designed to be accelerated past regular voltage speeds, pushing them higher will damage them. If they were designed to be able to go faster, than the would go faster out-of-the-box. That's why chill pads are not designed to push air into the fans, they're designed to cool the bottom surface area of the laptop (where the hot hardware is).

  • @Scythels and that is what this cooling pad do.. it doesn´t force air into the laptop.. creates instead sort of an air pillow on the bottom of the laptop.. and second, do you know where the fans of g73 are? they are on the back, and most of the air enters on the bottom panel that are on the center (almost).. so the air isn't on a direct path to the fans..

the good thing of using this pad is that the hard drives run at cooler temperatures, that is the most benefit you take from this pad..

  • @gajomau The exact layout of the G73's fans: 2x rear exaust, one fan for moving air away from the cpu (aims backwards, ~75% of the way back inside the machine, left side), a matching right-sided fan for the GPU, and induction mesh holes in the bottom, scatted somewhat irregularly around the center of the machine. I know the exact fan layout, probably better than you do. The secret to chill pads is not an 'air pillow,' as you call it, it's getting something cold to draw the heat away.

  • @Scythels

    it's not true! i have G73JH and 55- 60 °C when works IDLE! (had Therma-paste GP)

i play only auto-avia simulators not super graphic games and all time stability goes around 90-100 °C.

gajomau tell me please how much is different after cooling pad? I have already ordered massive23 LX

    THX

  • @jomardi72 i already have repasted, and when i'm in idle i put the gpu on battery saving mode (it downclocks the GPU to 300 mhz) so it runs cooler at 50ºc /53º c

the cooling pad only helps in 2 things

1- the hard dirves run cooler

2- cools down the computer faster after playing games, but makes little difference on max temperature (2ºc /3ºc max)..

  • @Scythels I have G73J and I need extra cooling! When I play games which need gaming hardware my laptop is really hot and sometimes I have poblem with really big hot! U don't know what are you talking about!

  • @ganggisss "big hot" You sure I'm the one that doesn't know what I'm talking about? The G73 idles at aproximately 57*C for nvidia models, and about 60*C for AMD models. It should max out at about 75-80*C under continuous full GPU load conditions. This is assuming it's on a hard surface, if it's on your lap it's going to get much much hotter because the intakes will be blocked. That's not a design failure, that's a usage failure, no one wants a heavy gaming laptop on their lap.

  • @Scythels2 with the "stock" thermal compound i can assure you that the g73jh hits 105ºc easily.. on a flat surface, nothing blocking it..

sorry, but the JH have that problem.. only a re-paste with a decent compound solved my problem..

  • hi , 2 questions: how lower is the temp with the cooler? worth it? and second question, how did u got this keyboard with "Ç" . (im brazilian and my g73 doesnt got the ""Ç" key), thx in advance

  • hi , 2 questions: how lower is the temp with the cooler? worth it? and second question, how did u got this keyboard with "Ç" . (im brazilian and my g73 doesnt got the ""Ç" key), thx in advance

  • dude the G73 is the most badass laptop ive seen for 1200 bucks.

  • what is the name of the song?

  • @MrLemonAsus

    Babilonia - Born Again

  • i have a G73 and i was wondering does the whole entire laptop fit on the cooling fan?

  • @TheBbaks i will sent you a PM with a photo of the laptop on top the cooling pad.. :D

  • Dont understand how a cooling pad helps this laptop, doesn't it get its air from the speakers? i mean i might be able to lower it 3-4 degrees celcius from blowing air at it. But Its not feeding it.

  • @Zyziz if you already dissembled a g73 you see that it doesn't get to much air for the speakers..

in fact it gets the air more like this:

    -60% from the bottom

-40% from the keyboard, small grills on the bottom of the screen and sides of the laptop

  • You are a portuguese guy, live in portugal too.... Why didn't you wrote in portuguese?

  • @gajomau Just kiding..

    cumps.

  • @gajomau

    quanto custa um pc desses?

  • @shOckFFF 1600€ +/-.. depende das lojas.. (todas as lojas excepto a FNAC)

  • @joaopreto24 tb comprei um. to digitando nele agora msm! uma das melhores compras que fiz também com certeza!

  • Does the cooler actually make a difference? How much did it drop your temps by?

  • @2muchfreetime4irakli on this laptop it makes some difference (if you repaste this laptop first, it drops 3ºc or 4ºc)..

on others makes very difference, and it cools very well ( 5ºc to 7ºc).. but the most important is that it makes your laptop gains more stable temperatures, and helps to cool faster on temperatures spikes..

ps: this will always depends on the temperature room.. if you run your laptop on a very hot room, this wont perform miracles.. :D

  • The Cpu Heatsink is directly under the fan with 8 little holes, anything could help with cooling it off.

  • Im loving that thermal pad, btw i havent really had any heating issues other than when i woudl play starcraft 2 in a 90 degree room with no ventilation, but other than that all i have for cooling is a fan to move the heated air away from the corner where my computer is. But this cooling pad looks nice i might have to pick one up, btw how did you update your catalyst thing cause im not sure if mine are up to date ty

  • @sikidiki22 please go to my video info, i haded new info there.. :D

go to that forum for help about this laptop.. :P

  • hi... how long have you been using the catalyst 10.8 and the updated vbios? bye! thanx!

  • @chochanga only 3 days.. so i cant tell you if it has any problems (for the moment i have one, but it's not a big deal..)

the catalyst i'm using since it came out.. :D

  • hi man !! question about the g73jh: since you bought it, did you ever HAD to update the video drivers??? bye !!! cheers !!!!

  • @chochanga yes.. i'm using version 10.8 of catalyst drivers.. i even updated the Vbios.. it works even better now..

  • hi there, question about g73jh: on the bottom of the laptop you can see 3 sort of air vents (2 big ones together and a small one).... what's the small one for? bye !!!!

  • @chochanga 3 vents?? the laptop itself has only 2 vents, one on each side.. one for the CPU and the other for the GPU... ( and yes, i already dissembled my laptop and 100% sure of that.. i had done that for repaste my GPU)

the third one is from my cooling pad, and it is a giant one, but it has nothing to do with the laptop..

  • have you ever considered on changing the fan to a faster one? like a 1500 rpm or something like that or you don't think it's necessary?

  • @chochanga i don't think a 1500 rmp or plus, would help me getting better temperature performance (maybe you get, i haven't tested that, but others persons who has a different cooling pad and the asus g73jh, they get the same or slight better temperatures than mine), and this base it is very silent. but this is my opinion.

read the other comments i have made to JeppeTrabergS regarding the working of this cooling pad

  • Hi there... I'm thinking on buying an Asus G73jh. As you probably know the ventilation is on the back... so why do you need this cooling pad for the bottom? Sorry my english is not that good. bye !!!

  • @chochanga because the air enters on the bottom of this laptop.. so having better airflow on your laptop, and no matters if it is on this laptop or another one, it is always good and increase your laptop life-spawn.. and if it is a gaming laptop it is always advisable to have one cooling base, this or another one, that it's up to the person who will going to buy one..

so, keep your computer/laptop/electronics running cool as possible it is always good.. :D

  • hey you know the light under the screen how come mine isnt as bright as yours i just got mine a couple of weeks ago is there a way I can adjust the light?

  • @Cronoexx maybe it's the effect of my camera when i was filming.. you can turn off and on the light, but i think you cant adjust the light.. try to max out the keyboard light, and see if it does something..

  • @gajomau Naw it doesn't work gajomau =/

  • @Cronoexx like i said, maybe it's the camera effect, and it looks like the light it's stronger then actually is in real life.. :D

  • Hey how much does it cool? like a before and after temperature?

  • @JeppeTrabergS not much.. it's only give the laptop more stable temperatures... for example, when you are playing the temperature lower faster then without the cooling pad.. this is with this laptop, because in another laptop it lowers 15ºc more or less..

  • @gajomau hmm.. the fan looks very slow. Can you adjust speed? And if you take your hand over the fan can you feel the air?

  • @JeppeTrabergS you cant adjust the speed.. it´s not the fastest fan in the world, lol, but not that slow.. what you see in the video it's light effect of the leds, and it looks like it slow, but it's not.. yes you can feel the air, but it doesn't blow straight up, instead distribute all over the pad, giving fresh air to the fans of the laptop you put on top.. it doesn't force the air into the laptop, and that means it doesn't mess up with the cooling system of your laptop..

  • @gajomau Okay.
