@ikazl the r6 does handle better, but it doesnt out accelerate a busa. The hayabusa was designed for high speed touring, its a much more comfortable machine to ride distance than a supersport style bike too. I love my hayabusa, and when i ride with my friends who own the r6's, cbr's, they are soooo uncomfortable. So, I sacrifice turning on a busa for comfort and the ability to leave a smaller machine such as a 600 or 750 in the dust on the straights.

maybe you should go up against my friend on the busa. she does 9.2's in the 1/4 mile on her busa. She also races gsxr 1000s and average 9.4's on them. When this video was taken, I had only been racing for fun for LESS than a year, the r6 is only 2 months old off the show room floor.
the r6 should be ahead in the beggining if she knew how to race. the r6 is lighter and if she was stronger she could have reved it up to about 13000 rpm since then poped the clutch. in the quater mile the busa should have lost if that girl on the r6 did everything right.
sorry, but you dont know what you are talking about. the girl on the busa is an experienced racer, and her bike was set up to drag race. it has a push button auto shifter. The r6 is bone stock. The only thing done to it was adding lower straps on the front.
