  • Being able to take something a part and build it back again (reverse engineer) isn't done enough. Most public school systems don't encourage this process and instead measure success by 'grades'. Grading A-B or C falls short when it comes to the qualities that need to be nurtured in the innovators, artists, and original thinkers we will admire most in the future. Assessing: Does it work? Why does it work? How do we make it work better? is a more honest measure of genuine success than a high GPA.

  • Love it! JSB recommending peer-based learning communities where people learn from each other in a environments like the old one-room school house. My grandmother and mother taught in one room schools with all grades. The teacher had to be a very creative manager of the learning experience.

  • Change the word "kids" to "teachers" and then I think you're on to something.
