  • how did u train her to point cuz i have the same dog but he runs after all of them?and did u plant the bird or it was there?

  • @elazizi80 In this case the birds were planted but this was when she was a young dog and I went on to hunt for many years with her. Weims are a pointing dog. They just do it with good breeding. Basically a point is just stalking that it frozen. As time goes on they get better about staying still.

  • magnifico

  • Damn, that was awesome!

  • AWSOME!! how long did it take you to train him?

  • you talk too much while working you dog. very annoying to hunt with people like that. const "whoaing' and what not.

having said that, its great to see weims actually in the field.

  • She was a young dog when this was taken and this was very early in her training. She is four now and I dont have to say a word to her, and her points are much more stylish. Thanks for your opinion though.

  • Love to see she is actually enjoying what shes doing :) Her tail never stops wagging. My Weimaraner is only a year and a half atm not used for hunting but when you take him into the hills he always comes back to you with rabbits in his mouth.

  • nice point!

  • I fav'd this vid ! I LOVE to see these dogs do what they were made to do ! I have a weimi , and we dont use him to hunt , but the natural ability can be seen in SO many things that he dose ! In there blood is the best way to put it !!!

  • Great video, nice to see a weim doing what he loves best.
