  • I have this as my dance song for lyrical. It's very touching and sad at the same time but at least she said yes because what if she said no? Her last words would've been no about believing in God and I think she would've felt very upset with herself in her last sentence while being on earth once she got to heaven. Love this song so much😍

  • i love this música

  • My brother bought me this CD (The Second Decade) some Christmas when I was a kid, so along with having great meanings, these songs make me nostalgic for my childhood. <3 When I was a kid I never realized that those are bagpipes at the end.

  • Lucky are you and I, to stand here tonight, and if I die tonight, I pray I'll meet Cassie in heaven. We'll talk the night away. She'll tell about her last day and I'll tell about mine... (ok i know it's not perfect, But I'm 13 so cut me some slack. Cassie really inspires me, and I wanted to write a tribute to her. Thumbs-up if you like it and agree with what I'm saying.)

  • I hope she lived that day like she knew it'd be her last. I hope she made good use of what I know she deserved. I was only one then, but I would have died, just to save your life. You're meant for so much more than just a story of horror. I never knew you, but I know this, Why couldn't you know this... babe if you had told just a little lie, you'd be alright. But I just want to thank you, for lettin me know, to always stand up for what you stand for. (cont in next comment)

  • I was only one then, but I would have died, jut to dave your life. You're meant for so much more than just a story to tell. I never knew you, but I knew this. ~ why couldn't you notice? That had you told a little lie, you'd be alright. But I just want to thank you for lettin' me know.. to always stand up for what you stand for. ~ Why couldn't you go play pretend wuth someone else? The mess that your life left behind took Cassie as well. (cont. in next comment)

  • This is a song I wrote for Cassie after hearing her story. Is it ok to lie..if we say we're sorry later? If it just might save our lives, can we just play pretend? say we don't believe and walk away.. to see another day... you think that'd be ok? I'm so sorry babe, I would have saved you, hey. I would have never let this happen. If i had known you.. If i had known Him... would the story be different? (continued in next comment)

  • WOW Hits 2001 anybody?

  • Why are Rachael Scott and Cassie Bernall so honored from columbine. What about the other kids that lost their lives that day. I don't understand. -sigh- They weren't shot for no reason. Taking into consideration how broken Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were, Cassie, Rachael, and everyone else must've hurt them somehow. RIP all that died in Columbine, I just wished it wasn't so glorified.

  • I just heard this on Moody Radio on my way home from Bible Study today. Great song.

  • went through the comments......seeing almost everyone say the song was written on a rumor, I'm not trying to insult ANYONE but how many of you were there? how many of the people commenting on this video, were actually in the library, when Cassie was killed? how many of you HEARD what happened? hmm....think before you act....

  • @paranoidemogurl

So you were there then? You're being just as arrogant. The official FBI investigation found the Bernall story was false. People near her confirmed she was not aksed anything, she was just shot. Look up surivor Valerie Schnurr. She was the one who had the "god" question asked to her but the gunman just walked away. Confusion stemmed from the fact that the girls had similar voices.

  • @loner1878 i never claimed to have been there...i only asked, how many people who are making accusations were actually there, i never said anything about Cassie was true or false, so you need to shut it.

  • @paranoidemogurl

You behaved arrognatly and should own up to it. I answered your question and you tell me to "shut it", lol. Don't ask questions if you want to stay ignorant.

  • did you know that when he put the bagpipes in there he had no idea that she loved them? like the family never told him that. that was Godly thing!!!!!!!!!

  • At least we know Cassie is with god. She (in my opinion) gave the ultimate sacrifice for him.

  • Rachel Joy Scott! reading the book about your life , has inspired me so much , to become so much more intimate with God in our relationship! Thankyou for living for Christ! , you really were a true Warrior of Christ! , can't wait to meet you in heaven! xx

  • Rebbeca, you continue to be my inspiration even after nearly 2 yrs of leaving this world. It seems that I always think about you and see you in everything I do.Never did I realize what our friendship meant. I see all the things we would do,and I still go to the places where we were, except your not there physically. But you still are because I take you everywhere I go. you are within me.

    I always miss you everyday.

I won't say rest in peace because you are singing and praising God in the Heaven

  • this song gives me goosebumps <3

RIP Cassie </3 .. you really left an inspiring impact on the world in being a role model in Christ :')

  • beautiful song! RIP my sis Teresa....I know you are dancing in heaven

  • This was utterly beautiful. What faith. I don't believe in God, but a higher power and this is stunningly sad.

  • does all this arguing over who said it matter?!? Whats important is to stand up for what you believe in! God is real!

  • Based on a rumour or not, this song still has the power to give a person goosbumps and also to really make one think about life and where you wanna spend eternity...I may not go to Church anymore but I still consider myself Christian, however Im not a fanatic about it and try and force ppl to believ in Christ. God gave us free will and Im not going to force my beliefs on someone else if they dont want it....This song makes me cry everytime I hear it:)

  • Cassie-

I amProud of your Choice, I wish that I would do the same

    And RANDOM PEOPLE~

    Hello

    This is a aweome song

  • For you P...brought to you by Abba and Master J...you'll be comin with me<3 Dang, don't you just love the bagpipes0?, you gotta

  • martyr, the legacy she left behind still inspired and even though she died for the sole purpose those boys wanted revenge, something good, even from a rumor came as a result of her death.

  • Although I like this song and believe in God, the song was written based on a rumor Smith had heard. Cassie was killed randomly, although I do believe she was a religious girl. The boys went through shooting everyone, no one in specific.

I think the story about Rachel Scott is just as touching as well, the thing is her's is real.

Even though the song was written based on a rumor, it still has a lot of power behind it. It has a good message, although Cassie was killed randomly and not a

  • @thebranblog, were 2 massive bombs found in the cafeteria. And they were carrying several pipebombs.

You people really need to read a damn book before you come on a video like this a spout your bull.

    That is all.

  • @thebranblog, I'm trying to understand what that had to do with anything I said?

Yes, this song was, in fact, written for Cassie Bernal, but it was written on false pretenses.

But the boys did not go around asking people if they believed in God. They asked the question once. The girl they asked the question to was NOT Cassie Bernal. The question was actually asked to Valeen Shnurr, and she SURVIVED. Cassie Bernal was killed shortly thereafter.

Also, NO INTENTION OF PLANTING BOMBS? There...

  • It very much bothers me when I see people making stuff up about the Columbine massacre. Read a book, @kdscutie.

Seriously, before you go making things up about such a tragic event, learn a little about it first.

  • @AyeSull listen. i went on an alaska cruise. michael w smith, natillie grant, henry cho, and other famouse ppl were on 2. i met michael and he lived next door to us. it was a week long. this song he said, is about the colombine shooting. men went around asking everyone if they beleived in god. if they said yes, then they died. this grl said yes. they had no intension of planting bombs. k?

  • @thebranblog lol dude this isn't true. do some research before you make shit up. it doesn't make her death any less tragic, but you can't just make shit up and act as if its true

  • @davidp899

    I know, right?

What gets me is where these people get the idea that (if the story were true to begin with) that she would have been spared for saying no. Maybe the shooters would have been like "Too bad." And shot her anyway?

    They just want a martyr.

  • @loner1878 i know, i had my daughter's friend ask me why she wouldnt have said "no" then just ask God for forgiveness since it saved her life. My answer.."what if she said no she didnt believe and they still killed her...would you really want ur last words to be 'no i dont believe' "? I know i wouldnt. :)

  • @davidp899 troll

  • @rianpop

    Its the truth, kid.

  • @kdscutie, are you retarded?

A: While this guy DID write the song for Cassie Bernall, she was NOT actually asked if she believed in god before she was shot and killed.

B: The person who was actually asked this question is Valene Shnurr, a survivor of the Columbine massacre.

C: Cassie's killer was not drunk. He was pissed off. His name was Dylan Klebold, and his friend Eric Harris was just as angry. They initiated and executed a school shooting, the very one in which Cassie was killed.

  • i like

  • This is one of my all time favorites. This is our time, we need to make sure we aren't wasting it. We need to make sure we are doing our best for our Lord all the time in everything we do...

  • Cassie Bernall will never be forgotten. It's amazing how death just calls out and takes ppl one by one so easily, but it has to happen someday and sometime and we will never know when that time will come. This song is sad but they should be tears of joy and sadness because Cassie is up with God is the joy and Cassie got shot when she shouldn't have is the sadness. Y can't ppl just accept one another and just live in peace without violence, racism that stuff that is wrong? God bless you all.

  • fyi he doesn't say grieving wiht us! He says grieving your loss!

  • Lol~ I didn't know it was called 'This is *Your* Time! Sooo Beautiful! I was trying to find it under "This was Her Dance" !

  • i love this song ♥

  • this song is pure beauty.

  • this song is about a girl named cassie bernall who was shot in the columbine shooting in 1999, she was shot to death after one of the gunmen asked her if she beleived in god, she said yes and she was shot on the spot

  • this never happened. that doesn't mean she is any less of a martyr but she was killed instantly without any conversation between her and her killer

  • @davidp899 Just curious, where did you hear that? I've read the book "She Said Yes", so I was wondering what your source was.

  • @GoddessOfTheAir she said yes was written like a year after the massacre. read anything more recent. like the official report of what happened. wikipedia it, its pretty much common knowledge at this point

  • @davidp899 Ohhh. Okay, I'll be sure to do that...but with some other source besides WIkipedia. I don't trust them, anyone can put anything on there. Thank you!

  • @GoddessOfTheAir of course, you're smart. i would recommend looking at the sources cited in their columbine page as opposed to the page itself

  • @davidp899 Being a martyr means you died for something you cared about and fought for.

    She didn't.

She died in a high school shooting, that does not make her a martyr.

It doesn't make her death any less sad or meaningful, but she was not a martyr. Don't throw that word around like it's meaningless.

  • love it

  • Does any one know what tune is being played on the pipes at the end

  • i am no christian but i feel for these people god loves everyone even the to boys yes they have done wrong but they will have their punishment for life because they have to live with the fact that they killed young inicent kids i think that is a bigger punishment than anyone could give even god himself. some people say they desurve to die but i dont think they do because that would be the easyway out for them god has left them here to face what they have done..but that is my opinion..!x

  • @xxamziepopsxx Uh, they killed themselves...They weren't left on this earth at all.

    Read a book.

  • its funny, the inspiration the 13 columbine students give to the rest of the world... myself included. u begin to see the world in a whole knew way! And God too.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, if you were a believer, you would totally understand what she did. It's not about surviving our mortal life here on earth.

  • It's understandable why you would say that. After all, why would someone die for something as "trivial" as a personal belief? It makes no sense to a worldview in which this life is all we have.

The reason is that for her- and Christians everywhere- we hold onto not just a simple "religion." To us, Jesus is more than just a teacher or a man whose philosophies we follow. He is the ressurected Lord and Savior, the lover of our souls. To us, this is something we cherish more than life itself.

  • Because we have been taught this,

'Matthew 10.33But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.'

    That's why she said yes.

  • @TheNerdyCanuck She wasn't asked this question. She was one of the people who was shot randomly just like every other person who died that day.

They had no intention of going in and killing any specific person, their original plan was to shoot and kill everyone as they ran out of the cafeteria, but their bombs failed.

It's important that you know that the girl who WAS asked if she believed, was not killed after saying yes.

  • yes I believe, too

  • I luv this song. but it is so sad. i thank god that there are people in the world like her :) RIP

  • i am reading Rachel's Tears right now and i just read She Said Yes... Rest In Peace all of the Columbine People Christian's or not... We Miss You ALL

  • Cassie - I hope you are one of the first to great me on the other side of the great divide....

  • they didn't kill anybody in the cafeteria....wow,Dave Sanders got most out of the cafeteria....nobody was killed in the cafeteria....1 death in a classroom,3 outside, and 9 in the library....23 injuries.not my type of music....i love Flyleaf's version. rest in peace to all 13 whose lives were cruelly taken that tragic day.

  • I would say YES too, Casse. You were so brave. May you rest in peace and cod bless you.

  • 2 students went on a killing spree at Columbine High School. They killed a few people in the cafeteria before going to the library where Cassie, a new christian, was reading her bible. They asked if she believed in God. She answered yes. They asked why, and then shot her in the head. Michael W. Smith was at her funeral and wrote this song after hearing her story, and hearing that she loved bagpipes and swimming in the ocean. 12 students and a teacher died at Columbine including the two shooters.

  • She wasn't reading her bible... She was hiding under a table when Eric Harris slapped the table twice yelled peek-a-boo asked her if she believed in God, she answered yes then Eric shot her in the head. 12 students, a teacher, 21 injured, 3 injured indirectly, died that day including the shooters. It's debated that Cassie Bernall wasn't the one who was asked but another named Varleen Schnurr. One official report suggested that Harris was a clinical psychopath and Klebold was a depressive.

  • @HunterPilot24 Uh, first of all...No one died in the cafeteria.

Second, she wasn't reading her bible, you dumbass. Don't make shit up.

Third, it wasn't to her that the question was asked. It was asked to Valeen Shnurr, a survivor of the massacre.

Fourth, 15 people died that day. 14 Students (Including the two killers) and a teacher.

You should probably read some books and articles before you go spouting shit that it's clear you made up.

    Don't be an idiot...

  • @AyeSull Doesn't matter she stood for JESUS! so nothing else matters! She will spend eternity in paradise.. Hallelu-Yah! :D <3

  • Michael W Smith was born in West Virginia, USA! and is one of the greatest!

  • Comment removed

  • he wrote this song for the death of Cassie Bernall. someone shot her in the head after cassie answered yes to the question 'do you believe in god.' the dude who shot her was like drunk cause he yelled Peek-a-boo! right before he shot her. there is also another song called Cassie. its by flyleaf. it made me cry. and so did this song. :( god bless cassie bernall in heaven.

  • Comment removed

  • he wasnt drunk. it was during the columbine shooting. and they were messed up kids.

  • yeah she was involved in the columbine shootings

  • he wasn't drunk! eric harris and dylan klebold were not drunk at the the time of the massacre, and he said, not yelled,'peek-a-boo'...eric shot her in the head....u need to do some research my friend....ya man I wish I could punch those 2 in the face,i cant believe someone could do that....its so sad...

  • Why would we pay violence for violence? If they were still alive if would be for purpose. Jesus loved even Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold! An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind!-Ghandi

  • AMEN

  • @MissCBGB Gandhi was right...violence as an answer to violence only brings more pain and suffering, while peace and love as the answer will eventually help more people get closer to the Truth ♥♥

  • love it.he is so good omg did he wright that?will u put up more?:D

  • :) beautifulllff

  • I didn't know he was australian...

  • he's Australian, rite?

  • The Newsboys are (:
