ANWR in Prudhoe Bay, AK, has approx. 10.4 billion barrels of oil. We have it and have the technology to get to it safely but cannot touch the stuff. Guess we should just wait and watch China and Russia drill off our coast (as they will off the coast of Cuba and Cuba is 90 miles from the tip of the FL Keys).

Promising to make universal health care a reality by the end of his first term is a big promise to be making. How will Obama help get the insurance premiums lowered? He hasn't said exactly how that will get done. Sometimes I really wish that Obama would be more specific. He says that he wants to do all these great things and I'm sure that he has an idea of how to get it done but he hasn't told us (the voters) exactly how it'll all get done.
Some of us people would feel less cynical if "seizing the moment" included voting against gutting the Fourth Amend and providing legal protections for illegal acts by voting for the FISA Expansion.

I disagree with Obama's vote on the FISA bill, but I will not sway towards the Republican party. The issues that are at stake in this election are far too important to become divided over issues like the FISA bill. Besides that nothing in this world could compell me to vote for John Mcsame. He has to be one of the pathetic candidates I've ever seen run for President in my life.

Moving to the center is all very well, but in order to not appear spineless and calculating, some decisive action is also required. The most logical act is to push for contempt proceedings to be brought against Karl Rove in congress. There is no reason not to bring to justice someone whom many believe is a criminal who has done nothing but polute politics and is doing his best to derail Obama's campaign. There is nothing to be gained by simply letting him of the hook, nothing whatsoever.

Obama has been constant on Iraq. The "Drive by Media" is spending its credibility on these lies.
Day one Obama said "We must be as careful getting out of Iraq as we were careless getting it." He took heat in the primary for his reasoned and conditional position on a Iraqi withdrawal from Bill Richardson and others for not committing to an immediate withdraw. He should get credit not criticism.
Check for yourself, he as "conditions dictate" unlike others.
Maybe the reporters missed the debates.

Promising to make universal health care a reality by the end of his first term is a big promise to be making. How will Obama help get the insurance premiums lowered? He hasn't said exactly how that will get done. Sometimes I really wish that Obama would be more specific. He says that he wants to do all these great things and I'm sure that he has an idea of how to get it done but he hasn't told us (the voters) exactly how it'll all get done.
