  • No wonder your smilin

  • Do you have a video teaching how to setup the bridge, strings height and neck adjustment? My bass has the strings to high from fret board, a have a Musicman Sterling. Thanks!!

    I ask you its hand.

  • can I have your bass?

  • you are so fucking boring

  • thank you im danish too you learned me a ton :)

  • Dope.

  • nice tone!

  • has pensado alguna vez en limpiar tu bajo , lo digo por que parece que lo acabaras de sacar de la basura jajajaja xD

  • @4everxice

El bajo es así, está con un tratamiento del acabado Hardcore Aged de Sandberg

  • I haven't seen this Sandberg before, how does it compare to your pink one? Do you own this bass?

  • The fawnk!!!! yes sir...

  • i love hearing the slide it sounds so awesome to me

  • this has to be paul gilberts bass playing brother haha

  • you are awesome!, the amount of songs you could compose with all your bass-lines would be incredible!

  • that is an incredibly sexy bass

  • thats the prettiest bass Ive ever seen!

  • how u do that :O

  • Love the way you slowed it down and captured every detail so that even a drummer could get it, You Rock! Thx fo the knowledge.

  • Whaat? Is that bass playing? Can you seriously make such a funky sound?

  • sorry to say that, but this lick doesn't groove at all...

  • how many bass do you have? hahaha

  • meget godt spilled!

  • Love the vintage look for this bass :D

  • what is that technique where he slides his right hand up the neck?

  • for an absolute beginner what bass brand or kind do you guys recommend?

  • @crowboy99 probably a Cort GB or something like that

  • @manutdbass19 thanks

  • @crowboy99 A dildo. Fag.

  • @Mojolightnin was that your first choice?

  • @Mojolightnin No. I bought a '95 Fender Precision Bass, and recently, a fretless Jazz Bass. Somebody else put that other "witty" comment on here. Sometimes I forget to log out, and I have such wonderful friends...

  • elsker lyden af bassen!

  • traumhaft...^^

can you do a few other videos with this wierd slap tap technic?

    ville blive meget glad :D

  • you can use a slide for bass YES!!!!

  • Siick man. I just "discovered" you a few days ago.

Im a super senior in college and have been playing electric and upright since before i can remember. Your the first person Ive seen do hammer-ons with their thumb. --and then slide in from that..fucking awesome.

Thank you for all the vids. Your about the only guy on youtube posting FOR advanced-->expert bass players. This is extremely helpful as its so hard to find expert technique lessons.

  • @marlowedk amazing

  • That's a really funky technique! Love tone two. How were the controls set? I thinking about modding my own bass to a MM-J combo....

  • fantastico\

  • hi!

    i own the Sandberg PM4 Model and I want a Jazz-type bass

so could you tell me the difference between the JM and JJ (your pink one)

    thanks, rob

  • @TheElectricRob , It varies from bass to bass. I went into a bass shop thinking I'd walk out with a JM because I was after a musicman sound but ended up buying a JJ because it sounded, well, more musicmanish. In fact, the shop had two JJs on sale and they both sounded different (same woods, different colour AFAICT.) Basically, I'd stay away from online purchases. If you aren't buying online, then you can hear for yourself the difference in the shop :)

  • Sweet! You make that thing sound so good.

  • that bass is sex.

  • I had a Basic PM. It was nice but those Cali Sandbergs look even better

  • Great groove, Marlowe! I've posted a video of me playing the groove, I liked it so much that I HAD to learn it right there and then...

  • great

  • One of the nasty nasty grooves we come to expect =-)

  • this is really cool.

  • Marlowe, your videos all blow my mind!

It's the fact that you take the time to take the listener/viewer through each step. That takes real skill!

I was also wondering about buying a 5 string bass...I've so far tried out a few..and I was caught by a Music man StingRay 5...what are you views on this bass if you've ever tried it?!!

I would love a professional opinion from a professional :)

    Take it easy

  • shiiiit, we're looking at the true funkmeister !

  • one groovy motherfucker

  • Thats awesome playing. Wish I could do it someday..

  • Damn! You are unbelievable.

I admire how you do your job.

  • awesome

  • Pretty cool groove. That's the lowest action I've even seen on a fretted bass!!! Jeezy

  • I like that u play ur instrument and stick with it, that bass looks like its obviously got years of experience in it.

  • would you recomend a sandberg? I wanted to buy the PM and need to know if its worth it.

  • @renzolikescheez Sandbergs are great basses and very easy to play, but always try it out first

  • This really is quite a challenge to learn:| that triplet or however you call that in combination with the following sequence is really tough to learn! but a great groove as always! thumbs up:)

  • Marlowe...I dont think u really know how funky of a groove this is...This is the most amazing stuff I've heard from u!!!!..Dis is killer...U ROCK!...

  • how do u like that german bass dude? :)

  • Awesome! Can you make a video explaining these techniques in detail? I'm really interested in "typewriter" technique! ;)

  • wow very nice Sandberg, I think they are better than fender, don´t you think so? it looks like a nice bass to play.

I see the fun on your face when you play the sandberg

  • hey man! thanks! i'm your fan hahahaha you're great! thanks for your videos!!! God bless ya'

  • i love this bass

  • hvorfor laver du ikke nogle primus coveres?

  • you cheeky little chappie you ^^

  • Awesome, could you possibly do a cover of Jaco's Portrait of Tracy?

  • Awesome playing and very sexy fingers!

  • thank you!:-)

  • Really a amazing fusion

  • yah i always saw jaco doing this in the vids of him

  • Cool Marlowe....very pricey to ship U.S? so does it have similar qualities of say fender jazz and sterling musicman? you have both, how does it compare? ya know u are never boring..thanks for that.

  • thats intense

  • thanks for such a nice slow version and how you broke it up into parts

  • is that a 75 jazz bass your playing on?

  • A child playing there! This is so LIVE! Great mood, great spirits! :D

  • Very nice!

    you are pro, man

    keep groovin'!

  • Definitely my favorite video from you. The Sandberg sounds perfect - it's got the punch of a Precision and the growl of a Jazz to my ears. The purring noise it makes as you slide up the fretboard is incredibly cool.

  • Great sound and a great bass.

I love Sandberg and this one is literally a masterpiece.

    Greetings from Germany
