  • thats exactly what mine does too!!!

  • holy shit thats what mine does too!

  • that is not always the case

  • the screw is to tight! make it a little loose :)

  • i almost have it fixed

  • me to

  • mmh mine just do beep sounds in loading... is that normal? reply pls.

  • Yep THAT'S normal..but what's happening in the video isn't :P

  • mine does the same thing

  • Mine is making the same noise. i soft modded it, and it has been working fine since i got it when it first came out. Is there a way to fix it without sending it to Nintendo?

  • aww all of the videos i have seen mine makes a differnt noise beep beep beep beep beep beep

  • The problem is the top plastic bearing frame for the disc is touching the bearing arm when the disc is spinning. Check my account for a video to see the cause and fix. There is also another easier indirect fix I found on youtube where you just have to slacken one of the corner screws on the frame that holds the bearing arm. I yes the plastic ring will get damaged over time if allowed to run like that.

  • wouldn't unscrewing it make the cd loose and wobbly.. is that a word?

and what if u lift the bearing arm bend it just a little so it doesnt touch plastic..

man why did nintendo have to make the wii so tight do all asian things have to be so tight?

  • haha why someone thumbed down your comment is beyond me, that was classic. i will go ahead and thumb it back up

  • I have this same problem - will it eventually damage the hardware? I don't mind the noise, but will my drive stop working because of it?

  • This problem is repaired on my wii. You must open and work with small electronics, if you cant bring it to somebody that can. There is a writeup for repair on Maxconsoles forum.

search "IVE Fixed the loud drive problem"

  • really. if you ever opened a wii or other electronics you know that there is no way to tell its been opened like some products do. no sticker no seal. Just don't mess up or stick things inside that shouldn't be there and your safe.

  • my wii was working fine until i dropped it a few times today, then it started making this noise.

  • yea mine did the same thing theres alot of "wii noise" post on youtube it shows whats wrong and how to fix it.... but honestly if u have your warranty you should send it in to nintendo

  • na its not him mine is like that 2. its a pain in the balls to here that thing raddle like that but it doesnt hert the disks at all.

  • its naked and abused...poor thing..

  • SEND IT TO NINTENDO!!!!!! i have the same issue and its scratching the CD up BAD!

  • iucace1996: He can't because he opened the wii. Once you open, it will void your warranty.

  • just put some clothes on it,

and put a box over it.

then turn up the volume on your tv an its good.

    haha

  • haha thats what i did, cut the back off a shoe box covered it with a towel and all is good and stuck it inside a drawer under my tv.......

  • yeah way to go if you want to overheat the drive

i guess opening it up and fixing the problem is the better solution here

  • does it work yea it sdoes

  • WHAT THE HECK DID U DO WITH UR WII DUDE?

  • First of all, how did you get the disc drive out?

  • He obviously dissabled it.

  • :O *gasp* your wii is naked!

  • haha best comment ever

  • thanks :-) lol

  • wii porn ;x

  • hot wii on wii actoin, wiis 369ing :P

  • hahaha

  • Hahaha. I must say. When I first opened my Wii and hooked it up. That was the sound that I heard when I put in the Wii Sports. Then it immediately changed to that black screen saying "blah blah blah malfunction... Consult Manual Sucka'" Erh...without the Sucker part.

  • Nope I fixed it.. You must take apart the Wii down to the level shown in the video. If your not comfortable doing this send it away.

  • Fixed it.. Easy, once i figured out what was causing the sound.

google maxconsoles the answer is here.

  • so whats the fix, i couldnt find it?

  • yesterday when i was playing Mario Galaxy I got a similar sound, when the disk goes in know it loads with a loud sound then calms down to a whirrrling buzzing noise... but does anyone know if it is bad to play? will the system get worse or is it common? it seems like alot of people are expierencing this. the gamecube games play silent, i can't figure it out.

  • Well... the mine was making that sound... In this moment, a few games can been read and if they do... in about 1 to 20 minutes the Wii have a Disc Error and I have to reset the console.

  • My Wii has been making this loud noise for months and still works fine. It is loud for GC games (I think) so it could be a different problem.

  • same for me, I'm asking around of how to fix it

  • If it's under warranty (1 full year) Nintendo will fix it. If not, search youtube for Wii buzzing noise solution.

  • crap, I guess the only way to fix my Wii is to do it myself or get another Wii... I can't do either of those two... What can I do?

  • mine doesn't make any noise on GC games only wii games so that's pretty strange

  • fuck fuck fucking nintendo with his cheaper consoles... FUCK THE WII!! I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, and i hate that sound L0l XDD

How to fix it? my warranty has expired... =(

  • mine is the same, i changed the case for the XCM hot rock case (which is awsome :D) but now it makes that noise ... but only with the newest games like mario galaxy and tomb raider :S wii sports dosnt make any noise .. could be somthing to do with the cd's ??

  • did you get it fixed? I have the same problem too but it doesnt do it with wii sports

  • mine does the same exact thing I just go to the mii channel and then insert the game and it works fine

  • lol easy fix ehh ?? :P

  • when i got my first wii my wii sound lik a chainsaw fuking loud i was lik ohh fuk LMAO!!!!

  • that sound I don't think is anything bad.

  • i have the same prob. wat i ddi waz call nintendo customer support(18002553700) and tell them the prob. they will get ur adress and other info, they will e-mail u or via mail u a shipping thinggy, put ur wii in a boxand put the lable then send it. they wii send a replacement.

  • I just got that sound too, it is killing me.. Did you fix it by your self? how did you do it? Or you just turned in like everyone else ppls did?
