What I don't get is the Burrow gets destroyed in this movie but in Deathly Hallows pt1 its there......... I'm confused. Did they rebuild it or something else.......
I was surprised the writers actually added a scene this long that wasn't in the book. I think it turned out well. It actually added something to the plot and really showed the anger and frustration Harry felt. It also highlighted the growing relationship between Harry and Ginny.
@Stonymypony I feel the same way about this scene! I really felt the connect between Harry and Ginny. For me at this point it was clear that they loved other and would have giving they lives to protect each other. To me that is real love; who really cares who kissed who first or where..I see people complaining about their relationship all the time in the movies but what they don't know is J.K.R. approved all the scenes in the movies and talked with the writers. I also think Bonnie is great!
Who would run through fire to save the one they love answer Ginny/Harry! Who would fight over every little thing but kick some major ass if anyone touched them Ron/Hermione! J.K.R. showed us what true love and friendship really means!
Not everybody likes this scene, but I really do. If you ask me, it really shows how the Death Eaters are constantly trying to get to Harry. Plus it adds a bit of excitement and action to an otherwise moderately slow-paced movie :)
The latest Harry Potter movie is stunning! My sister and I just recently saw it released online. We discovered it at watch harry potter. us (w/out the spaces)
WHY add in this STUPID scene and go and screw the Harry/Ginny thing up?! They're supposed to DATE not this stupid kiss-in-secret-I'm-a-twilight-teenager thing!
No. Fiend Fire. Or FiendFyre. It's the fire in the seventh book that destroys the room of requirement. If you look, the fire takes the shape of a serpent.
You know what's weird? In the 7th movie, the Burrow is there. But they don't live in it. They live in a house next to it. But the old house is there. I didn't look closely, but it looked like it wasn't even charcol colored.
This had the potential to be such a great scene. If only there was more extended dueling, ie. Remus vs Fenrir and Tonks vs Bellatrix. I mean, come on, both Tonks and Remus have their nemeses right there in the same field. It would have been so great.
@h0neycrisp I know, I really want them to show Remus and Tonks' death scenes. If Tonks and Bella don't have some sort of epic duel on the Grand Staircase, I'll be slightly disappointed. Lol
@EggplantPopolopolis They screwed that up on three occasions: Department of Mysteries, Burrow (not in the book though) and Little Whinging... [SPOILER ALERT] Oh and hopefully, they'll have Greyback murdered Lupin instead of Dolohov, if they carry this out!
@h0neycrisp Well I wouldn't call it a screw up, they just passed on the opurtunity for developement between two minor characters, but I think, given that Part 2 is only like a quarter of the book, they have the oppurtunity to do a lot more.
I hated this movie! It was a good film, but the thing everyone wanted to see was a huge fight at Hogwarts at the end, instead they add this stupid scene and just have Bellatrix blowing up the great Hall and Hagrids Hut at the end
I must say that the camerawork in this was scene was rather shaky in the fight scene. It was like the cameraman was also fighting Death Eaters, and therefore couldn't hold the camera straight, lol.
@jibpstar123 So what if it wasn't in the book, it is how the director (yates) interpreted the book, you do not expect that word per word the lines and scenes were exact as the book. Not always like the books. If this scene wasn't in the film, then there won't be an exciting scene or a battle in the movie not unless we would wait until draco and harry fight, that would be boring. Well for those people who keeps on comparing films to book then you should stop.
Quit complaining! This is a great scene!

the only reason i like this scene is because it has lupin and tonks in it <3
other than that, i could care less because it added nothing to the plot...

My only concern is this is out of continuity Tonks doesn't date Lupin until what im guessing to be at after the 6th but before the 7th book

Molly: u sure u don wanna stay?
Tonks: no,you see,( glances at Remus )
(lower her voice to a whisper) the first night of the cycle is always the WORST.
Arthur and molly: .......ah.......

@kurby345 No, they lived in the Burrow in the 7th. I'm guessing the repaired the damage to it in between the two movies.
