  • (W)e must question if they lived in the manner described in the text and if the content is right. It is essential to make a clear distinction here between archaeological evidence for occupation and evidence of a people's cultural attainments. All the (Great Lakes) books considered here blur this distinction and take evidence of human occupation in the New York area as evidence of past civilizations.". . .

  • why is this spanish?

  • I was amused by the comment that said that the religion was dying. haha. It's the fastest growing religion in the world. and the only one that's not constantly branching off to other less serious or less devoted religious clubs. And what's all this about mormon's liking to kill? come now. Lets not exaggerate. heh heh

And MaoiMeowi2, ?tienes una santa bibilia? debes lier la escritura que pangea dijó. No la conozo, pero se que si lieres, acabara con las dubidas. I don't speak spanish, haha. sorry

  • @manowar40 if you had actually read the Book of Mormon then you would have known that when it speaks of being cursed it is specifically referrring to the decendants of Laman and Lemual that they would be dark spiritually. If you had actually read the Book of Mormon you would have also known that most of those referred to as Nephites were actually of native American Indian blood and were not fair-skinned as you put it. The prophet Mormon himself was likely of Mayan ancestory.

  • My heart hurts for the Mormon people, One day the truth will be known and you will have to come to grips with the archeological record and DNA. I wish no harm to any of my Mormon friends. I admire your faith and devotion, But history does not support your faith, DNA does not support your faith, Archeology does not support your faith, Geography does not support your faith, All the videos that are made to give credence to your religion are vague and misleading. Sorry, But your religion is dying.

  • @manowar40 If you had actually read the Book of Mormon which you promote yourself to be an expert of then you would know that basically it is the record of two families which came to an already densely-populated area including 2 continents almost three thousand years ago, after countless generations I am no expert but how do you expect their DNA to somehow magically change all other peoples? Archeology, there are numerous examples many of which exist, but what it is really about is Jesus Christ.

  • @pangea7777 I am not the one making the claims that the book of Mormon makes. If there where Hebrews here in north America then we would find there genetic markers among the native population, It's that simple. It doesn't take an expert to dispute the book of Mormon, Most anyone can see the discrepancy that occur in the book of Mormon and doctrine and covenant. I have been studying with two Mormon Missionaries now for about 7month, And they cannot answer many of the questions I ask them

  • @manowar40 the reason there would be little if any genetic markers identifiable is because we are talking about basically two single families that immigrated to an already densely-populated area that included two continents. Both North and South America, with Central America as one very likely spot upon which they landed. You figure in that this was nearly 3000 years ago and with that small of a contribution of semitic DNA the odds of finding markers are close to zero. May God bless you.

  • @manowar40 sorry son, but it's actaully growing,

it's easy to try to prove things wrong... so easy.

  • @manowar40 yeah we gain over a million people to our faith each year, yes we are a dying bread.

  • @manowar40 So what you are saying is, that if we can’t prove the Book of Mormon is true because the DNA is not there, then if what your are saying is true. The Bible is not true also. Because DNA research has shown that the first person of the human race was a Black woman that came out of Africa. Not Adam or Eve of the Old Testament. Don’t take my word on this. Google THE NEW EVE

  • Mormons believe in killing everyone who doesn't agree with them, yet they're afraid of blood?

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Clearly you never even read the Book of Mormon nor are you familiar with our teachings. In BOTH we teach that non-violence, or "turning the other cheek" as Jesus Christ taught is the higher way. However, we do believe that if necessary to defend our wives, children, homes and liberty or freedom on occasion we have every right to defend our lives if we are called to defend our country which is why we will do so only if required but even then we prefer not to kill others period.

  • @pangea7777 The one Mormon belief that makes sense, but still...if you're going to kill people, what happens when you realize it's more gruesome than in this movie?

As for the Bible quote, I don't comprehend English written like that so well.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 one belief that makes sense? lol I think you betray how little you know about our faith. I think if you actually knew what we believed you would be shocked there are more than a few things that make more than a little sense. We believe in honesty, respect of others, integrity, morality, not drinking/smoking, not doing illegal drugs, being faithful to your spouse. Not abusing, degrading, demeaning anyone, period.

Basically, everything that Jesus Christ taught himself. Simple.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 we have always taught "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Jesus Christ (Matthew 25:40)

  • This is not Christ - like. These are not Christian people. They are violent... portraying a violent selfish, leader - Satan.

  • @ripmeanewon I would agree those people who are attacking the others are doing so out of selfishness and greed. Pretty much like any other war in such similar circumstances. I would also agree that Satan is the father of anything that is destructive, hateful, and brings about a loss of happiness in both this life and the life to come.

  • @pangea7777 this Moroni is not mentioned in the Bible. Perhaps, he is the "Angel of light" and certainly not God. If he is not of God, than Moroni is of the Devil. There is no, in between.

  • @ripmeanewon are you claiming every person who ever lived is mentioned in the Bible? The prophet Moroni never claimed to be God just all prophets are servants and messengers of God, or in other words God's mouthpiece. It is true that if you are not for God you are against Him and as a man of God and prophet Moroni most certainly was of God. He was a very honorable, true man full of integrity and virtue.

  • @pangea7777 "in other words"? "for God"(-implies ones own interpretation of serving a god, not the Bible)?... look, you probably need to study Paul a little more about false teachings.

And, I never said, that you said, Moroni is God.

Again; Moroni is NEVER mentioned in the Bible, however, he might be the "angel of light" (or Lucifer, fallen Angel) mentioned in Revelation.

  • @ripmeanewon just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean that I don't understand. False teachings are anything that teaches those to not follow the teachings of Jesus Christ or that lead us away from him. The way to test anything is to pray and ask God about it and also to consider it out in our minds and compare it to what Jesus Christ has taught us. Satan does not want us to follow Christ or his teachings. Just as a house divided can not stand.

  • What is this movie called, and where can I get it?

  • What movie is this from?

  • @haidermann1 based upon the archeological evidence. That is not to say there were not other events which took place much further way it is just that this area was the primary area much as Israel is where much of the Holy Bible took place.

  • This is a good movie. I love the Book of Mormon stories and all the gospel truths written by all it's holy prophets, like: Nephi, Alma, Abinadi, Samuel the Lamanite etc.

  • I agree I was impressed by how well it was done. I am all for listening to the word of God from his servants the prophets. Thanks again for your comment.

  • Nothing has ever been found on these "Nephites" or "Lamanites" and nothing ever will because Joseph Smith made it all up.

  • Actually that is not correct there have been many archeological discoveries but no less than what can be found in regard to Biblical history as well. He made up the Book of Mormon no more than the prophets in the Holy Bible or those who we have recieved those writings from what we call the Holy Bible made them all up. Actually less, because sadly over the course of two eons some of the plain and simple truths of the Holy Bible have been lost including complete books.

  • How do you think The Mayans, Aztecs, and Incans got there than?

  • @brian8793 The Mayans were the only one of those groups that existed during the key periods of the Book of Mormon which were primarily 600 BC- 425 AD before and afterward. As the Maya were in MesoAmerica prior to 600 BC so yes they were already there when Lehi's group came to the Americas. Both the Incan empire 1200 AD and the Aztec Empire, 1400s were of the PostClassic Period and therefore did not even come into existence until many centuries after the Book of Mormon time period.

  • Why Meso America only? Why not the entire Land North ward and the entire Land South ward as stated?

Moroni tells Joseph that the record is from a people on THIS Continent. Is that ONLY Meso America on North America?

  • there is overwhelming evidence (DNA, archeological, etc) that shows the book of mormon events took place in north america, not meso america (if you know where to look) 2 nephi chp 1 mentions other nations in close proximity to where the book of mormon took place. i believe there were already native americans in north america when lehis family arrived. google: "Book of Mormon evidence"

  • well if the BOM states that they covered the entire land North ward, and the entire land south ward, and they had around 1000 years to explore the new world total, & the nephites were on the run for nearly a decade at the end, & Moroni took several decades writing the book compilations of his father, & Moroni tells Joseph himself it is a record of a remnant of the people on THIS continent, (North America?) Why does Meso America HAVE to be the tell all be all? Not that it matters.

  • @blowhard

You just keep your head in the sand! Joseph Smith was not making any of it up. You're in denial!

  • what in the writings make you think that?

  • Biblical Proof that Jesus Christ visited the Americas

    John 10:16

"And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."

  • See the quakie trees. t? This proves the Book of mormon was in North America, not Central or South. lol

  • @haidermann1 In any study of the history of the Book of Mormon, we must be willing to let archaeological evidence assist in dictating where that history occurred. Placing events from the Book of Mormon in an area where little or no archaeological evidence exists or ignoring the scientific evidence of population centers whose time period dates to the time of the Book of Mormon is totally unproductive.

  • @haidermann1 Accordingly, we have learned that a written language on the American continent was in use in the same general area where the vast majority of archaeological evidence exists. That area dates to the Book of Mormon; that area is Mesoamerica.

  • Is this a real mormon movie

  • Yes

  • What's the title of this movie?

  • nobody wins in war and spilling blood isn't fun.

  • AMEN!

  • I've got the English version of this, I will post this online sometime soon.

  • English very pretty please with a cherry on top? lol

  • Actually the original is in English, this is a dubbed Spanish version. It's on the Book of Mormon Gospel Doctrine study VHS tape, so most wards/braches should have a copy. Thanks to johnlds1965
