The NATO Air Forces didn't directly intervened until August-September 1995 when they launched full massive airstrikes on Bosnian Serb military targets and the Belgrade regime who backed them finally backed down the war effort and as result Dayton Peace Accords was signed. The first Serbian agggression was Slovenia after that country voted for independence on 1991. When it's done, the Belgrade regime then turned to attacking Croatia in that same year and lastly turned to Bosnia in 1992. Then they started backing rebel Serbs in those countries after the Serbian forces left to avoid the U.N. arms embargo in all former Yugoslavia.

Afterwards, U.N. and NATO got involved in Bosnia to stop the war that happened on Europe's backyard. And they did it with great success.
