People people, people, people get all bent out of shape when people, people, people step on their toes..why is that? I just think if you don't want nobody stepping on your toes, get your foot off the floor and step out of the way. (this message is written in code)...lol !!!
LOVED THIS SONG WHEN I WAS A KID. EACH 4TH OF JULY THE OLD FOLKS WOULD TRY TO DANCE TO THIS TUNE AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD BARBECUES. IT WAS HILARIOUS. I MISS THOSE DAYS.
7 Corners Shopping Center outside Washington. Negro lady behind the counter at the Woolworths dancin to this. Down the mall there was a music store with a Gibson SG hanging on the wall. Daddy, daddy, daddy, PLEASE buy me that for Xmas. Didn't stop whining till he got that guitar for me. Took me a lot longer to play this though than to get the instrument!
The black thing is called a vinyl disc. This one is 12 inches wide and plays at 33 1/3 RPM. There is a needle in the arm that presses against the grooves in the disc and produces the sound. I also remember the 45 RPM and 78 RPM discs which were usually used for one tune on either side. The record on the turntable is an LP and could contain 5 or 6 tunes on each side for a total of 10 or 12. I've seen it all from the windup phonograph to the computer hard drive. We have certainly come a long way.
