Gene Watson ever sang that i would never ever listen too. But this is one sone I do not like. I am glad it never made it simpley because of the words. today men are doing just what this song says and getting away with it . I will never ever hear this song again . I remain a faithful fan of the other great songs Gene Watson sings
Well, I must say that I do not like this song by my hero Gene. It's "tongue in cheek" ?? whatever you want to call it but I just can't take the title and the words to my heart. I suppose I have him up on a pedestal of sorts and just want to think of him doing the romanticizing or, at the least, singing about trying to get over a heartache. - Paula
Oh this is one I've not heard before. It's like opening a lucky bag everytime I hear a new Gene Watson song, 'cos there's never anything not to like in there!
First heard this sung by the late, great Wynn Stewart.

I know a country singer who sings at the honky tonks that sang this song for his previous ex-wife during the wedding when he got remarried
