Pulling the jumpers on a amature radio is illigal to make into a 11 meter rig. this radio should only be able to transmit 28.000 to 29.700.

hey man its been a while wanted to let you know roosta i now have them 3mm's in slow fade along with violet, blue,orange,and white i havent had a chance to do my radio up yet but comming soon......... just wanted to let you know what was up see ya later my friend and to the guy that said buy a ic-706 i have one and its also noisy depends what frequency you are on no radio is perfect the only diffrence is the icom has the att button

nice...that was my first 11 meter radio...but didnt have the color changers at the time i just changed out to different colors on each side...i wish i still had that radio...now have a hr 2510 and a lafeyette 2400 but havent used them in 10yrs or so

color changing LED 's just plug into the existing LED slots and work correctly as they are supposed to change color? i never changed meter lights before so i am curious.

where can i get the lights other then ebay?

for the display lights u just put the news ones where the old ones we're it's fairly easy to do...other than ebay u could try 'dicksmith electronics or jaycar" i got the color changing ones from ebay, u can get 10 color changing ones for $10, as for changing the keypad LEDs thats a bit more difficult and the LED's are smaller.

ok i just relised your in USA so i doubt you would have heard of dicksmith electronics...try your local electronics shop or u can goto ebay and lookup the seller allenward69 he sells the color changing LEDs and others

i brought 8 Color changing LED's off ebay and replaced the ones that were in there

ok i have a galaxy 22b i was goin to change my key pad to blue i wounder if it has the same kind of lights as the 2950

it would have but the only problem would be getting to them. you'd have to pull the radio right apart to get to the circuit board on the back of the keypad, it's quite fiddly and if your not sure what to do it would be easy to kill the radio completely.

my lights change slower every 2 sec or longer yours is just too fast

do u know of any way to slow it down a bit? im not sure if the way it's wired up would have anything to do with it as it's sharing the LED's are sharing the same power source...i was going to cut the tracks that hook the LED's up and give them there own seperate power, not sure wheather its going to make much diffrence?
