@Da1337Man Even with a full team, he was the only one I had trouble beating. I beat him on the first try only because Gyarados Sp. Atk. is so crappy that it's Hydro Pump couldn't knock out my Ampharos even after it had used Rain Dance.

@faddzrawr The way I see it is that Gym Leaders have 2 sets. A "regulation" set for any trainers that come by, since trainers aren't all born in Kanto. And they use that set depending on how many badges a trainer has. Anyone with a Jhoto championship under their belt coming to them simply means they don't have to hold back anymore, and that it's time to go all out.
