all you need now is a mini-grill to hang under those pipes. some mini charcoals, hot dogs. i have '08 lightning, cant wait to get some extra money for some new stuff.
They have tons of torq so power wheelies are NO problem plus they are dry sump oil systems so you can stand them on end for days and never run it out of oil I have a 97 and have had gsxr's tl 1000's and tons of rice rockets and this will hand with the best of them mine has a NOS setup but you really dont need it.
Someone is trying to prove he has a big e-penis. I bet you voted for that asshole in the Office too you douchebag, because you sure sound like a whiny Libtard. Go clear your head with some buckshot mouthwash and let those of us who want to have fun do so.
@killswitch1982 He's clearly joking about getting laid 7 times, lighten up. But I agree with you. Who knows what this country will be like by 1-20-13.
Wow! Such anger tpo444, I mean, yeah, it's an ameteur video of a loud bike but you searched for it, so I figure you're just a Prius driving geek that thinks his "plus 4 hit points" means you can punch a biker in the face.
I mean ,Hey, I ride a Beemer ...so I guess that gives me, like, plus 12 silent points.....right?
Get off the keyboard and on a bike, maybe you'll understand.
So... after having the bike for 3 weeks... did the BIKE itself get laid (down) 7 times? Or... after having the bike for 3 weeks... did the OWNER get laid 7 times?
your exhaust valve is not going to like that open header as much as your ears do, and also loosing all that bothom end torque just to get mear 1-3 hp out on top end its just not worth it. I did open header on my xb12 sgc and burned the valves in 3 months, but hey its your bike you need to dick it up before getting it wright. ride safe
@modeif +1. I ran open headers on my 09 Busa... it sounded great, but low and mid range power decreased drastically. Top end throttle response got better, but the low and mid is what I missed the most. I actually lost power on the dyno up to 7700 rpm. Then it gained a little from there up to 9800. And I noticed a rougher idle, took it to the shop, they said my valves weren't toast, but if I kept doing what I was doing I'd be having a head rebuilt before long. Pipes perform better anyways!!
thats sick dude. I got a 06 xb12r firebolt im looking to dosomething with the exhaust but i dont think id go as drastic as to cut the pipes like that. you got balls sick ass bike.
You probably lost a lot of power with those pipes. 2-1 or 2-2 with a crossover chamber are typically the best choices for a v-twin. On a side note, I like the orange paint job a lot, and the bike sounds great (of course).
on those slash cut pipes they will but not on a stock header they wont, try forcing somthing up those headers at 3000 rpm let alone cold air going up there.
I've seen this kid before... a king of Craigslist, sultan of pussy, and pharaoh of all things manly.

how fast are these bikes compared to high reving bikes like the r's, gsx's, or cbr's? will they even power wheelie?

LOVE this bike, but i fear that being 6'4", i'm a bit too tall... maybe?
flookie92 2 years ago
These are quite tall bikes, you need long legs
MasterFire84 2 years ago
ya, i actually sat on my neighbor's buell the other day, and it was surprisingly comfortable height wise. no too squished up.

to have the header turned in this way forward it's dangerous for the valves because of the cold air that go into :/
katasky 4 years ago
ha ha cold air going into a running motor through the pipes that are expelling hot gas!
rossor6ridr 3 years ago
babbo.. do you always leave the engine turned on? hahahhaha!!
katasky 3 years ago
When the engine isn't turned on, what would the difference be? Wheter the exhaust ponited forwards or backwards?
