The song you hear in the game is a stripped cover version played by Mike Campbell. The Original is called Shoot out the lights by Richard Thompson, who was in a band called Fairport convention, who was also voted by Gibson as the greatest guitar player 1991.

That is incorrect. Rumble is a different song from the late 50's - the only instrumental banned from the radio per wiki. Shoot Out the Lights is a different (and great) song.
