  • This roadwarrior dweeb thinks he knows all there is to know about ancient Hebrew (which he does not) and about the ancient world. Of course the Bible (mainly the Old Testament) has some creepy things in it that were recorded and far too many are misunderstood and taken completely out of context. No wonder there is so much insanity and toxicity in so many Christian sects.

  • The Old Testament has many beautiful stories and history; however it also has several passages that are very disturbing and unlike what Christ taught. I can understand why the Marcionite Christians felt that much of the Old Testament was inspired by a lesser "dumb" god. That's because they had problems with several of the passages that many people are disturbed by.

  • CRoadwarrior is obsessed with homosexuality. He has dedicated his YouTube site to discrediting For The Bible Tells Me So and calls it "Homosexual Propaganda 101." It's the same old anti-gay religious bullshit that the movie For the Bible Tells Me So completely discredits and exposes. Roadwarrior needs to be interviewed in the sequel as yet another anti-gay propagandist who is doing all in his power to stir up hate against gay people & set himself up as a judge and use the Bible as his shield.

  • @Rockymtntruth You are a liar. Out of over 90 videos I've produced, only 2 even touch the subject of homosexuality. The movie discredits nothing. It was a futile exercise in special pleading and selective evidence.

  • @CRoadwarrior This movie is not about "special pleading and selective evidence". It's about taking Jesus' words about love and loving one another and living by those words. You are the liar CRoadwarrior. You're the one who has put out these anti-gay propaganda responses to movies that support a minority groups exhaustive and painstaking work to be treated as equals. The Bible by the way has been mistreated and used as a weapon in bloodshed and hate for thousands of years.

  • Read your book, honey.

    Read it.

  • BROOKS00000, you got this guy running for his money. A lot what you said is very valid, and this guy can't back it up. Good job.

  • "But that's taken out of context."

    "But that's old testament."

"But you have to consider the time in which it was written."

"But that was so long ago."

    unreal

  • ROFL...yes, unreal how FACTS seem meaningless only when your pet theory about the Bible is dismissed...unreal....I'm still laughing...at your grand ignorance.

  • Which part did you find funny, sweetheart?

The gang rapes? (Judges 19:23-29, Gen 19:8 gotta love Lot)

Killing your daughter because she isn't a virgin? (Deut 22:13-21)

    Torturing women? (Ex 22:18)

    Killing fags? (Lev 20:13)

Beating slaves? (Timothy 2:9, Ex 21:20)

Shuttin' up the bitches? (1 Tim 2:11)

    Slicin' at them genitals? (Abraham)

Beating up your kids? (Proverbs 22:15...)

It's appaulling what you people find amusing.

  • What's funny is all the quoting out of context and distortion. LOL...hilarious. You don't do that to any other literature. That is very amusing and hypocritical.

  • I'm seriously not trying to rain on your parade.

Go ahead and revel in the suffering you have caused others.

Enjoy it, embrace it, keep pissing in the face of those your group has hurt.

Someone might as well be entertained by your hate.

Roll on the floor laughing in it.

  • No, you are not raining on my parade. I am amazed at the level of distortion and deception you engage in to promote your ideology. You are only making a fool out of yourself...that I will roll on the floor laughing at to my dying days. I do read my book, AND understand it in context. Obviously you don't know what the word "context" means. But that's ok. I understand. In order to propogate your theories, you have to distort the facts. So, "honey," keep it up. This is hilarious! LOLOL.

  • READ YOUR BOOK.

  • UNDERSTAND THE BOOK IN CONTEXT! Oh, I forgot, you don't know what that word (context) means.

  • READ IT.

  • Read the context.

  • I do...even in the original languages. LOL...please, you have no idea.

  • If you're looking for validation on how many versions of blood-loving book you can read, go to a xian blog.

Why are you still laughing when the topic is rape, torture, and slavery?

  • I will always laugh at distortions of reality. ROFLMBO...

  • So you must be on the verge of orgasm when you hear about your pastors and priests raping little people.

    Congratulations, keep laughing.

  • CRoadwarrior, you seem to be running way, figuratively speaking. You're totally avoiding all the questions and comments BROOKS00000 has given to you. Face it you lost it, and you can't explain it. Gay Christians are here to stay.

  • LOL. Jusitke07 you have no clue. Brook isn't even in my weight class, let alone the same ring.

  • @jusitke07 Gay Christians are here to stay and we have been here all along. CRoadwarrior is in major denial and he can post all the anti-gay Christian propaganda he wants but his acts are and will always be futile.

  • Where are those cool ziplines? Can I have a go?

  • homosexuality is linked genetically on the Tq28 marker of the x chromosoe.

for those who still want to believe that homosexuality is an abomination according to the bible, be reminded, 'who will cast the first stone?' that's right...no one. if you do believe the bible, then you should know to believe that you are not without sin...and just as doomed as your interpretation of the homosexual. i seriously doubt 'selective belief' flies with the Almighty. 'a sin is a sin.'

  • Ok, even if we accept your alleged science about some "Tq28 marker," so what? Sickle-cell anemia is genetic too, but that doesn't prove by any means that this disorder is "normal." All sin is sin, INCLUDING homosexuality, not excluding it.

  • i don't believe that homosexuality is a sin. however, if you do, i can respect that...but i would hope that since you adhere so closely to that passage in the bible, you also adhere to everything else your bible teaches you? according to the bible, men cutting their hair is an abomination. so, does that mean if a man gets his haircut, he's sinning?

  • I believe what the Bible says. Now, you fail to understand basics about Biblical theology. The Old Testament followers sacrifices animals to God. We don't do that today, as JESUS is the ultimate and supreme sacrifice for sin. So just because something is IN the OT, it doesn't mean we follow it today. However, from Old to New testaments, homosexuality is STILL called sinful and wrong. So the "haircut" argument doesn't work.

  • The "haircut" argument is in the NEW testament, stupid. (1 Corinthians 11:14)

  • Actually, Brooks00000, 1 Cor. 11:14 is a hairSTYLE argument, not a "haircut" argument. LOL...please.

  • 2 Samuel 12:11.

    Keep laughing.

  • I will keep laughing, Brooks, since the passage you posted has NOTHING to do with my point.

  • CRoadwarrior, let me just reiterate that I do respect your beliefs, even though I don't agree with them. Nothing you or anyone could ever say would EVER convince me that homosexuality is wrong. The bible is a piece of the world's existence...not everyone is Christian, not everyone is Muslim, not everyone is Jewish or Buddhist or Hindu...we are all different...and perhaps if everyone wasn't so interested in converting/saving/changing/condeming mankind, the world would have much less suffering.

  • Of course that is understood. Not even God Himself telling you that homosexuality is wrong will convince you. Being different, destinoproductions, is not the issue. It is whether we are going to accept the Creators judgments or reject them. And a part of Christian theology proper IS helping to alleviate suffering, as Christians have, on the whole, been doing this for centuries. How many soup kitchens, homeless shelters, hospitals, and group homes were started by Christians? I rest my case.

  • Here ya go: Lev 19:27, Deut 14:1, Num 6:5.

  • Oh, how we long for the day you freaks decide what you believe

  • ROFL

  • Also, destinoproductions, if you are going to mention something that is supposedly in the Bible, please be kind enough to give chapter and verse. I see no passage saying men cutting their hair is an abomination.

  • I just watched this film, and I can't help but notice that this is simply a pro-gay propaganda piece that distorted the facts from the Bible and used selective "science" to support the gay agenda. You can fool some of the people, but not us all.

  • i'm shocked you feel 'fooled?' what part of 'eating shrimp and being gay are both an abomination' didn't you seem to understand? clearly the bible is a great story, but personal interpretation to oppress others was never it's original intent. the bible, written by man, not God, is filled with inconsistencies, contradictions, and outdated ideas. christianity was modeled after paganism (see Horus) and used as an "opiate for the masses" which it succeeded in doing.

  • destino...all you have said is pure uneducated rhetoric. What part of there is a vast difference between DIETARY laws and moral ones don't you understand? Instead of blindly following rhetoric, try thinking and researching a little more thoroughly for yourself. If you want, you can find "inconsistancies, contradictions, and outdated ideas" in just about any literature. So please...take the rhetoric somewhere else.

  • how about stoning to death disobedient wives and children, how's that for morality? as for inconsistencies and contradictions in literature, who looks to 'Gulliver's Travels' for their moral compass and spiritual guidance?

  • What the heck are you talking about, shark? Stoning "disobedient wives and children"? The point was, that if you wanted to, you CAN find contradictions and inconsistencies anywhere. As with beauty, sometimes "contradictions" and "inconsistancies" are in the faulty eye of the beholder.

  • but some people see the bible as the word of

god, not simply as a elaborate story, and mean

to shape culture and law in concordance. When they say homosexuality is an wrong, where's the line between modern dogma and old superstition (ie selling women into slavery-exodus 21:7) As for one of many contradictions:

EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

    Thats one cloudy moral compass.

  • you may see the 'vast difference' between dietary laws and moral laws, the point is, the bible doesnt. it mentions them all in the same breath, it talks about sin being sin regardless of what it is. you have decided for yourself what sins are 'worse' than others as it were, and which parts of the old testament to hang on to and which to dismiss as irrelevant.

what gives you the right to tell people which laws in the bible should be taken seriously, and which shouldnt?

  • What is the name of that ride? Thank you guys

  • Saw the movie, and it's been too long coming.

If you are a Christian Fundamentalist and not afraid of having some actual truth added to your religious knowledge, see this movie.

If you are gay and have been struggling with your sexuality and religious faith, see this movie. It really helps to expose Christendom's doctrine (that God and the Bible condemn homosexuality) as completely false and unchristian.

  • FYI: The word "abomination" is, in fact, a very WRONG translation. The original word which got translated that way actually means "something we Hebrews do not do". It was not a flat-out judgment against people who did it - the word implied a judgment against HEBREWS who did it. The theater, a Roman affectation as far as the Hebrews were concerned, was an "abomination". So was eating shrimp (specifically forbidden) and a great many other things.

  • Actually, Serai3, you are wrong. It was not just something not for the Hebrews. Was stealing and lying and child prostitution just for the Hebrews not to do? No. Stop pretending to know Hebrew language and culture. If you are going to read, read in context. Your explanation is flawed because it doesn't consider context.

  • @CRoadwarrior Nice try, cutie pie. I'm not "pretending" anything. My assertion is indeed right - I got the information from a scholar of HEBREW who has written several books on problems such as this. Just because some things called by the Hebrew term mistranslated as "abomination" are still considered heinous sins doesn't mean EVERYTHING called that still is. Like I said, eating shrimp, cutting your hair, working on the Sabbath, all were. So blow it out your ass, Howard.

  • @Serai3 Well, since I can read Hebrew and use research tools, I know that your "scholar" is wrong. Sorry, but there is a different word for "abomination" used for foods that were forbidden. You might want to look that up instead of blindly accepting your "Hebrew scholar." I'm not impressed with blind appeals to authority. You mind giving the name of this scholar?

  • @CRoadwarrior Go ask the Jewish Rabbi's about this as opposed to trusting your anachronistic understanding of Hebrew.

  • @Rockymtntruth Since I study Hebrew myself on the graduate level, I do not need to ask a "Jewish Rabbi." Thank you very much.

  • @CRoadwarrior Of course you would say that you arrogant prick!

  • @CRoadwarrior Oh, and "child prostitution"? Yeah right. Seems that terrible sin was just fine - when the Hebrew god told HIS people to do it. What do you think happened to all those Midianite virgins?

  • @Serai3 LOL....one thing is sure. They were not made "sex slaves" as many ignorant people willing to make things up out of thin air try to argue.

  • @CRoadwarrior Oh really? And your proof is...?

  • @Serai3 Nonsense. Child prostitution was forbidden in Torah. Please do your most basic homework.

  • @CRoadwarrior Ignoring the point, eh? Please explain just WHAT you think they did with all those virgin girls. The story says they were directed to keep them "for your use". Why would they need to be virgins?

But hey, whatever. You just want to keep denying the obvious over and over again. Good luck with the real world, Sparky. YOu'll need it.

  • @Serai3 The point is not what I or anyone thinks. It's what is SAID in the ancient text itself. Does the text say WHY they chose virgins or are you speculating? Are there any other passages that can shed light on the issue? I know there are, but then again I didn't bring up the issue. Denying the obvious? LOL. No, how about denying speculative claims that have nothing to do with the "obvious." I don't need luck. I have accurate knowledge based on thorough study.

  • @CRoadwarrior You mean the ancient text which has been edited several times by power hungry men for their own purposes? And I suppose you never wear clothing of different materials at the same time and have never eaten shrimp or other shellfish?

  • I agree that anti-gay fervor must come to and end but I think that Christianity is a hateful religion that wears a facade of peace and love. It is not until this machine of intellectual destruction is eliminated that the ideals of the enlightenment will truly come to be.

  • Right on. They always preach peace and forgiveness, yet then they say that if you do this or are like that you are going to hell no matter how good a person you are. The true abomination in the world is religion and mostly those that hide behind it to further their own prejudice and hate for other and use it as an excuse to be cruel.

  • I agree to an extent with your statement... It is not Christianity, itself, that wears a facade, it is the people. Christianity is a beautiful religion, however, humanity is tainted and tarnished. No matter what religion, there will always be people who pretend to be a certain way, and are actually different.

  • An amazing and timely film. I highly recommend it to anyone who may be on the fence about what they have been taught to believe. It opens up a badly needed dialogue. It's just heart wrenching to see the pain in others as in my own life. Just seeing the trailer after seeing the movie brings tears again.

  • The film was very well done and exactly the type of film that's been a long time coming for the GLBT community. The condemnation of homosexuality is one of the last great lies promulgated by Christendom. The life of this teaching is fast approaching its end. More films like this one simply must follow and be shown on mainstream TV channels such as TLC, Disc, NG, or the History Channel, in order see this hateful doctrine come to its long overdue burial.

  • If you are gay and grew up in a Christian home, you will find this film very validating and cathartic. You should make arrangements to see this movie with your parents, brothers and sisters, as it sheds much needed light on the destructive false teaching that God and the Bible condemns homosexuality, and just may serve the wonderful purpose of establishing a reconnection between you and your loved ones. SEE THIS FILM!

  • People, this is an issue created by politicians to divide us. We are weaker as a group (ie HUMANITY)if we are divided. Wake up! You are being manipulated. Hate is not a christian value.

  • Daniel .. THANK YOU for "jumping". Whatever you left behind to create this vitally important Documetary, you have most likely saved many lives, as well as restored many fractured family relationships. Fundamentalism is one of the greatest enemies of Christianity, and out of it's myopic paradigm so many lives have been destroyed. So again I thank you and send you wishes for astounding success as this Documentary is shown across the United States and the world.

  • This wasent a very good youtube video... but i do want to see the movie:)

  • I am not gay, I just am sick of the hypocrisy within this foundation. I love God with all my heart, and fully believe Jesus died on the cross. I love the religion, but some of the people are just big biggots, not all of course I know some wonderful Christians, but some of them need to reevaluate their beliefs especially if they are acting like Pharisees. I can not wait to see this movie, My one lesbian and gay friend will be joining me. Yes I do not exclude people like some of you do!

  • Just one more comment. A lot of wrong things have been said and done in the name of Christianity. Even "Holy Wars" a phrase which in itself is contradictory. The Inquisition was the farthest thing from Christianity,(for instance) which is essentially based on loving others as Jesus has loved us. So- let's define what we are judging so harshly. If actual Christianity or just how its name has been used and abused repeatedly- even nowadays.

  • at least, matt you are giving responses unlike the agnostic/apathetic religious breed. However you still found your beliefs on something intangible. You would call Jesus by a different name if you were raised in a different part of the world or a different era, because 'god' is a concept which suffices to explain 'that which is not presently understood fully', and always will be, until of course science has cracked the universe and the religious will have nothing left to hide behind.

  • Yes. Faith is based on something that is intangible, (at least initially intangible -since later on it should produce some good fruit as result of it). The idea that God was created by man, is a stand, and as such must be respected. I dont agree, but I respect it. Here is the breaking point- you can chose to believe or not to.

  • cont'd from above - Suppose you had found a Qu'aran (or however it's spelt). There is no reason why you might not find more happiness with another religion. And even if you did, that would be admitting you are religious for selfish reasons - to make yourself feel good. And btw you don't 'find' jesus anyway, the church hunts you down, or you find a bible. And the bible and Jesus aren't the same thing. How would I know about atomic particles if I'd never read a physics book?

  • In Christian faith, at least- the Bible is the way to get to know God. God's thought's, Jesu's thoughts and word's and teaching's are there. And if it's a good church they'll teach that, and if it's a good christian they'll teach just that. But apart from teaching, there's a personal experience that's very hard to describe that you get when you ask Jesus into your life, that has nothing to do with teaching or religion. It's something real and alive that changes everything.

  • I'd like to know the details of how you came to 'know' jesus. the physics book analogy is that you would not know about your specific god if you hadn't've read your specific scripture. And you misjudge the spaghetti monster, he is benevolent, omniscient, creator of the universe, and he helps me a lot in my life. He just happens to be made of spaghetti and he flies. You must respect my beliefs because if I believe in him, he must exist, otherwise how could I have thought of him?

  • 1.- well,U want proof that my God is real? Well..my father was instatly healed of a very serious ulcera problem, upon my mother s prayer. She herself experienced something simlar. Overnight she able to abandon a deep adiction to tranquilizers, after taking hold of some bibile promises regarding health.

  • 2- My family has amazingly sorted death in several situations, leading us to believe our prayers over "protection" were directly related to that...Theres the inner joy and peace you experience only upon recieving Jesus in your heart, that cannot be compared at all to any "peace or joy" you may experience thinking youre religious thoughts are the "true" ones. The joy and peace I talk about surpasses that by far. Im telling you- it's real. It's up to you to take it or leave it.

  • This is the most important point. I personally believe God wants you to take the first step, of giving it a "shot". I don't come from a familiy that was originally authentically Christian- they did have a religion though, but it was just tradition basically. Once we individually took that step of asking Jesus into our lives- a lot of things changed inside us.

  • continued from above - also , why subscribe to Jesus? why not some other God? Here's what I think - there has been some kind of influence. People don't just find Jesus - they find the Bible, or a church, or an enthusiastic friend who converts them. Jesus and the Bible aren't the same thing.

  • CONTINUED FROM BELOW- The only way to describe it, is that weve got an inner witness and assurance that's beyond anything I'd ever felt before. And that assurance, that faith has produced results over and over again. All good, and even some very glad suprises too.

  • good results from faith bear no reference to whether it's actually true or not. I believe in the flying spaghetti monster. You can't disprove him just like I can't disprove God. Now accepting that people are free to choose whatever they want - can you honestly (and I mean honestly) say that you respect my beliefs? In a giant spaghetti monster?

  • Sure I'd respect youre choice of believing in the "giant spaghetti monster" or any image or statue or whatever. Some disrespectful people might mock you, but that's about it. However, the difference is that I think my God will help me in times of trouble while yours will just serve as a meal.

  • Yeah. If you want to believe in the spahetti monster or any statue or image or nothing at all, that's fine with me. You can pray to it and do whatever you want as long as you'd don't violate the law in doing so. The only difference is I think, in time's of trouble my God will respond and aid me, while your's will just serve as a big huge meal.

  • I too have had wonderful spiritual experiences throughout my life. I'm also homosexual. Indeed, spiritually-guided intuitive promptings have led me to homosexual experiences. I and other around me are much happier for them.

  • I'm glad I'm Agnostic and only obey the normal stuff in religion, don't steal, don't rape, don't kill. (yeah its a boondock saints reference but its true lol) Plus the books wee written by man so of course things were changed in them.

  • I love religious people. I haven't watched the film cos my connection was lost at the start. I just love religious people. I love what they have to say about things. Just listen to them. Aren't they all just wonderful, wonderful people? Who aren't sexually repressed, guilt-ridden, genecidal, fascist idiots? I love them.

  • Then they say its religious people who are intolerant. "sexually repressed-guilt rideden fascits?". What is all this?.We stand for freedom of choice but the responsibe type. Adults are free to chose their sexual orientation. Some sexual orientations happen to not be compatible with certian religions.

  • there is no element of choice in religion: 'you are free to choose as you like. but don't choose how we tell you to, and you are a heretic and will SUFFER BEYOND THE GRAVE.' Take your outdated fascism and throw it away. read a fuckin' book (that isn't the bible) and the truth about your existence is evident.

  • I think everyone is free to believe as he/she wishes and adhere to whatever religion or social group he/she wishes. At least in most civilized countries. No such thing as fasicm or dictatorial system imposing a faith on individuals. And regarding books...yeah, Ive read quite a few. What s youre opinion of our existence? Man invented God? The universe just happened to appear by an explosion that no one detonated? Smart..huh.

  • Divorce is the bigger issue that needs to be addressed. Fundies and Conservatives should stop worrying about homosexuals until divorce laws are reformed to exclude "irreconcilable differences". That is the true threat to marriage.

  • the only true threat to marriage are the people who are getting married. not divorce, not religion, not anyone else. it just depends on who we are and what happens in our lives. fucking crutches i swear everyone has to have a reason or a person to blame for something they can never just blame themselves. no one is fucking perfect.

  • Im christian and I agree. Divorce should be a valid option, its up to people to make it work, not get married at all, or if it s so bad- get divorced.

  • If u want to be gay fine, but it does not match Christian morals. No one is going to make a fuss about the choices one makes of his sexuality, but we are going to stand up if theres an anti-christian campaign. The U.S. was founded on biblical principals and morals, therfore this heritage should not be changed. If gays want to marry or adopt kids go to Holland.

  • yeah, because holland was not founded biblical principals and morals... what was it then, islam?

  • If people read the bible word for word, especially the old-school verses like Deutoronomy and Exodus, the things that it says is just so absurd. If you listen to the bible word for word you might as well sell your daughters into slavery and drown in the dead sea.

  • The old testament is the history of the Jews. Pretty old history. Christ came to reform it, and teach a new better way- in which, NO, you dont have to sell youre daughter s into slavery. Actually Christ treated women in the same manner he did to his disciples, becomming quite an advocater of women s rights.

  • Beware the shrimp! For it is an abomination.OMG..LOL Time for the Christians to grow up and join the world.

  • If you want to be a Christian, find out what Christ has to say about homosexuality.

  • OH WAIT HES DEAD!

  • White Tiger---I'd like to be a Christian. What did Christ have to say about homosexuality? Could you give me a specific verse from one of the Gospels? Something written in red? I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear what Christ has to say about it.

  • You can't you say? Oh. That's because Jesus didn't mention it. He was too busy crossing lines of class, gender, race and religion to think about it. He was too busy loving on whores, sinners, tax collectors and blue collar scumbags. But to the religious people like you he said, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness."

  • Hey, jaseman816. You hit the nail on the head. Jesus had nothing to say because there is nothing to say. We are an integral and universal part of manifest creation. Life is enormously diverse and all of it fits in to an amazing and so very mysterious "whole".

As Jesus and every other great being has gone to their death by pointing out, it is the ones who practice exclusion and condemnation of "the other" who are the sinners, the hypcrites, the unclean vessels, the unbaked pots, etc.
