A man will preach God for his own glory and if people dont follow them for there own teachings then they will in turn hate you for not giving them glory.In this day and adge we call it respect. we are to give respect to our fathers and mothers,but not to all,only God,for its Gods glory. Christians are hypocrites. They say "love your enemy", yet they always yell at us atheists and satanists saying "you're going to hell, and you deserve it." They always claim "that doesn't mean we hate, it's just the truth" but to me, it sure sounds like a lot of hate.

@quagmya No it isnt. Agnosticism is about knowledge, not about belief. Nobody can be certain there is no God, but they're reasonably sure there isnt. The majority of atheists are agnostic atheists.

My point is that there is a logical pathway between reading the Quran or the Bible and well, killing people for strictly religious reasons. There is no logical pathway between non-belief and violence since there is no core doctrine. This doesn't mean non-religious people cannot do bad things, religion just creates another unnecessary reason for division.

Question 1: The Atheists I know who celebrate Christmas, myself included, do so because we want to be with family and friends, we get together and give each other gifts because we care about each other, we don't gather around and pray to God so we don't turn it into a christian thing, we just get together and have fun, is that so hard to see? Question 2: I don't think Atheists assume you are uneducated and hate all science because of you're disbelief in the big bang. You could be very well educated, many Christians are, but the belief in God is a belief with no evidence other than first hand accounts, the same amount of evidence can be compiled for Big Foot, even MORE for the Loch Ness, considering people claim to have footage (no one has footage of God), but that doesn't change that they are stupid beliefs.
Question 3: I don't think any Atheist claim that Christians don't want to learn, it's the simple fact that you aren't able to accept any proof against your God unless we cover every single aspect and prove everything about God wrong, it's impossible to do so, but Christians don't understand that. I can say an invisible dinosaur with 5 fingers typed this, but you can't hear him or feel his presence unless you believe in him, no amount of science can disprove that but its not true

Everyone has one, just most people's are more subtely organised, by political and cultural influences rather than known spiritual teachings. Atheism is a belief system that doesn't involve a deity. So are some religions, e.g. most incarnations of Buddhism. So your "difference" is completely invalid - China executes (and tortures and targets for all sorts of vile human rights abuses) people that don't follow its belief system.

My point is that there is a logical pathway between reading the Quran or the Bible and well, killing people for strictly religious reasons. There is no logical pathway between non-belief and violence since there is no core doctrine. Every individual atheist has his own "morals" and things like that. Religion on the other hand, is a real belief system with rules and everything. That's the difference. Of all the debates here is the truth. Radicals (Zionist, ect.) believe that God is with them in there war against anyone who opposes them. This is what a radical does. People who believe in creationism can be radical but that doesn't mean that religion is to blame, so, if you hate a group of Christians for the way they act they are probably acting like radicals. As no one had a clue on what time of year jesus where supposed to have been born, it was simply decided that 24 of december should be it. It was neat date as many peoples had older traditions of having a big feast around the winter solstice, a tradition which it made sense to 'christen', and take over. 2. 4. Well... bronze age myths are actually interesting to read up about. And I have done that extensively. But one should not mix such things with facts, evidence and reality. Science, and the method of science, is hard to grasp. By necessity it is alien to our 'normal' way of thinking. We where not really evolved to naturally grasp it. :-)

Question 1: The Atheists I know who celebrate Christmas, myself included, do so because we want to be with family and friends, we get together and give each other gifts because we care about each other, we don't gather around and pray to God so we don't turn it into a christian thing, we just get together and have fun, is that so hard to see? Question 2: I don't think Atheists assume you are uneducated and hate all science because of you're disbelief in the big bang. You could be very well educated, many Christians are, but the belief in God is a belief with no evidence other than first hand accounts, the same amount of evidence can be compiled for Big Foot, even MORE for the Loch Ness, considering people claim to have footage (no one has footage of God), but that doesn't change that they are stupid beliefs.

Question 3: I don't think any Atheist claim that Christians don't want to learn, it's the simple fact that you aren't able to accept any proof against your God unless we cover every single aspect and prove everything about God wrong, it's impossible to do so, but Christians don't understand that. I can say an invisible dinosaur with 5 fingers typed this, but you can't hear him or feel his presence unless you believe in him, no amount of science can disprove that but its not true

When God says certain people deserve to be burnt in hell for all eternity, it means those people are worthless in the eyes of God. So it's only logical that God worshipers hate those people too. Religion is divisive and breeds hatred. It may not be the root of all evil, but it's pretty close.
