  • Thank you so much for taking the time to post this helpful video.

  • I could understand just fine..O_o

  • WTF is she saying? it sounds like this "whine frumble whine whine moan sigh grumble gloves grumble whine sigh" XD

  • oooh steampunk friend!

  • Those who can not understand what she is saying need to get their ears checked. Yes she mumbles a little but she is understandable

  • has anyone found a transcript of what she's saying? i love the design, but can't make it cause i don't understand. :(

  • @Unlessitrains The triangle she makes is 8 inches across the bottom and 6 inches to the top. Put a grommet on both lower corners, thats to hook around your writst. Split the triangle up, probably around 4 inches and put grommets on both sides to lace up the back of your hand. Use a scrap piece that fits around your middle finger to put at the top of the triangle. You can grommet that to make the loop or sew it. :)

  • "something something Scisors, something something something Gromets, Mumble mumble something something Triangle, mumble mumble Triangle something something mumble mumble mumble mumble"- that is how you make steampunk gloves

  • I mumble or speak to fast my self..... quite a lot so i could actually understand about 95% of what she said :P

  • @littleminikid ditto

  • @littleminikid could u please copy it down for us?

  • @elf867 I'll try

  • japanese? tibok 2 a nese? what language to i have to take! to understand her i mean.

  • I understood her.....i had to smash my ear agaisnt my speakers though lol JK

  • I understood here.....i had to smash my ear agaisnt my speakers though lol JK

  • bad photography, lousy sound

  • she needs to stop mumbling

  • well it looks cool, but I cant understand her and the important parts are missing, like the sewing, and gromet setting and finnishing work. Other than that, very interesting for sure. I would like to see you guys try this again.

  • i miss you guys D':

  • i could understand that she said...and i not speak english...and she is cute...

  • Why won't you just buy it?

  • @MsMisspirate because were threadbangers and reinventing is AWESOME!!!!!

  • @MsMisspirate because you can make your own design

  • i could understand her .

  • Sorry I could not understand one work she said. Please do this over with a more articulate demonstrator and better sound. Thanks.

  • i miss u guys so much!!

  • That girl is like "mmkay.."

  • i think shes acting shy on purpose

  • video quality sucks.

  • you sould make a steampunk dress

  • thats also a grate idea for ninja gloves thums up if you think so too

  • nice gloves, and beautiful lady :)

  • Nice idea but difficult to hear - I love the end result!

  • my 1 dollar webcam from china is like 1000 times better quality than this thing LOL

  • the camera and the sound are from a poor quality, so it is very hard to understand, but the idea is nice :-)

  • The girl is really cute. :-)

  • "maehas ame gramet ramsne e"...wait whut?

  • is there gona be another steampunk week this year? (i just recently got into steampunk and would like to see as many vids of how to steampunk as posible)

  • Got it. Used it. Did it - Success!

    Thanks AsukaNova :)

  • she talks like the sweedish chef

  • you have a great point!

  • Not very helpful. I wish I could understand what she is saying and actually SEE what she is doing.

  • oh,great !

  • im a boy, so... are thesegloves unisex, or ONLY female ???

  • @MrZmaster27 probably unisex = ]

  • @MrZmaster27 If you like them and wanna make them, it doesn't really matter, does it?

  • I would say that I can't hear anything she freaking says, but I think we have established this.

  • aw, she's adorable ^-^

  • She sounds so horribly bored and lackadaisical. o^o

Also, I can't understand a WORD she says.

  • Can u guys add same language subs? Really cant hear, even when I turn my sound way up

  • Ok, I couldn't hear most of what she said. Shame, the gloves look really good.

  • whaaaaaaa did you say girl??

  • Damn she's cute.

  • I foud that it was far easier to use brown leather floves, and just cut the fingers from them.

  • she is cute.. im inlove!.. nice tutorial, you can add subtitles to understand better the whole process.

  • I have decided that I shall remake this Tutorial so that you can hear me.

I am terribly sorry about the sound quality of this version, I was not bored or unhappy, just slightly nervous and trying to make the glove and talk at the same time D: So that is probably why you guys got the bored/dead vibe

So I will defiantly remake the tutorial so that you guys can all hear, and i will try to be more Cheery! :D <3

  • Honestly - you just looked nervous but what you created was so worth it. Crafters are very forgiving folks and you are amazing. Just relax and be you and it's all good!

  • YOU ARE SO CUTE AND ADORABLE!!!!! not to be a creeper...

    love the tutorial too

  • @AuskaNova Simple don't talk and make your gloves. Record your voice over it after or even rerecord your voice over this same tutotial.

  • itd be even more amazing, if we could hear it.

and maybe ebing able to see would help too.

other than that, the gloves are sweet

  • very boring get someone else next time

  • Steampunk is one work. =]

  • but that tutorial chick sounded kinda dead...and bored -___-

  • I LAAAVE STEAMPUNK :D

    this vid is awesome

  • i got hooked on steampunk by the mortal engines series

  • mortal engines is fucking sick, i started to look more at stuff like this but its expensive and im lazy and not good at making stuff

  • For years I have been fascinated with clockwork, gears, cog, and the like.

And now to discover that so many people do too, and have created an art out of it..is amazing. I love steampunk!

  • She talks like she doesn't want to be doing the tutorial at all - like she's doing us all a huge favour and it's really hard to hear what she's saying. However the gloves are cool.

  • i wish this tutorial was clearer, the quality is bad.. topped with how you can barely hear what shes saying..

i do love the gloves though

  • I can't even understand what she's saying 0_o

  • I like her hat.

  • very cool i probably am gonna use random fun colors instead of leather material

  • nice its very easy but i quiet didnt understand the measurements of that triangle i only got 8 cm and didnt get its sides if only some could help

  • The bottom measurement is how ever big around your wrist was, mine is 6 inches then you just measure up to the index knuckle and mark it in the middle above the bottom line you have for your wrist then connect the points in a triangle shape.

    Hope that helps.

  • hey thanks a lot :-)

  • thank you ever so much

  • she is cute

  • they look unisex

  • would you say that these gloves are unisex, or only female?

  • Female only. I mean, you can wear them. I might. But you could get people calling you names. You could do the same thing, but maybe add more fingers for it.

  • or use some kind of string instead of ribbon.

  • Maybe thin strands of suede or leather? Even Hemp might work.

  • Unisex, I would wear them, (I'm a boy) I think they are nice, nothing to girly about it. Maybe add a index ring if your that insecure. Your dressing this way in the first place, your gonna get called names. Not trying to be mean. Just how society works.

  • yeah id totally wear it. Im a guy too and it looks pretty ok. But yeah he is true about the name calling. Im a mixed kid and i used to wear the prep style but i decided i wanted to change and be different like 6 months ago. And i get called names all the time. Its cool tho i mean peeps should just worry about themselves and not someone else.

  • female

  • arg the audio sucks I cant hear what she is talking about!

  • she also sounds kinda depressed. XD

  • the draft of the whole look is totally great!!

i wish to see it here!!!

  • her hands were in the way..

  • ok i couldn't understand a single word that she said O_o

  • @VincentsValentine99 not only did i hardly understand what she said i could hardly see what she was doing ... but they end product did look nice

  • @VincentsValentine99 neither can i!!!!!!!!!

  • i like me some steam punk. :)

  • ok, let me see if I get this straight: You cut out a triangle. you seem the sides. Then you take another piece of leather and you sow in onthe top of the triangle. you cut a little in the middle of the triangle. The piece of leather that you sew on top, you now sew so that it is a ring. Make holes in the triangle, so that you can put a rope trough it.. tie it.. and its done??/

  • yes or you could just use the top of converse shoes

  • i got as far as cut a triangle.... and the rest is just mumbojumbo..... BE MORE EXCITED!!!!!! its the only to get my attention

  • I would have liked to make these gloves as they looked awesome, but couldn't follow the tutorial because I couldn't understand a word she was saying. And she looked really damn bored to be there.

  • the girl giving the tutorial is mumbling and seems like she really doesn't want to be there

  • I'm sure this was said before, but you can't hear nor understand anything of her explaination :(

  • And while you're measuring stab yourself with a pencil repeatedly.

  • I didn't get a thing of what she said...

  • yeah, the sound quality could be better. But: nice video :-)

  • love the gloves but i couldn't hear much...

  • IT would be better if she had a lapel mike to pin on so we could hear her. She is mumbling a lot.

  • I love Threadbangers, but it was very hard yo understand. I could not follow this, But I like the gloves.

  • It has potential, but could not hear her and I could hardly see!

  • love the tutorial but I cant hear her very well :(

  • lovessssssssssssss it!

  • loved the video thank you for taking the time to teach the world.

  • I don't want to be an a**hole, but I spent a fair amount of time working on that animation you stole to use as a background for the intro to this video. If you wanted to use it, you should have contacted me beforehand or at least given credit instead of just grabbing it off YouTube. Either give credit or change the intro. If not, I will be forced to contact YouTube to have the video pulled for copyright infringement. Thanks.

  • is horrible to hear to it, but I love the glove!

  • this was painful to watch, cool gloves though

  • I love thread bangers, but it was very hard to understand. I could not follow this, but love the gloves.

  • indy molgle was right

  • I couldn't hear a word she said. The gloves might be neat but there's no way I could follow this tut.

  • those gloves are swweeet. It seems kinda complicated though =p i'm lazy so =D

  • I KNOW, RIGHT!

  • where can you get sheets of black leather from?

  • ebay :)

  • Fabric stores (or even the fabric department at walmart) usually have black vinyl, which is pretty close, and much cheaper.

  • thanks for the tip

  • lol i said to my mom "Do you know what steam punk is?" and she was like "Steamed punks??"

  • hahahaha

  • i wish the tut was clearer, and that i she didnt mumble 0_0; i like when she first show'd the glove... but i think the one at the end of the tut was different?

and oh! do ppl just send in their videos, and like threadbangers edits them with all the sound effects and fast forwarding and what not?

  • People who make their own clothes don't usually buy clothes from stores like Hot Topic (super expensive, and not unique). That's why it's called DIY. Do it yourself. This video on which you commented on is about people who wish to be unique, so they MAKE their own clothes. Not buy it from some store like Hot Topic.

Oh, and they're not wearing black clothes or eyeliner O_o. This is Steampunk.

Get your facts right before you go off complaining on some random video.

  • lol

  • what is your problem? how did u find this video? why are you watching something that you obviously aren't interested in? go watch some slut on a webcam and stop being mean to make you dick seem bigger.

  • this inspires me to make gloves, but they'll be more like gothic

  • ok...i have no idea why i got thumbs down...

    but however threadbanger rocks:)

  • @offwithurhead

Lols, I love your username ^^

  • @Neonprettykitty me tooo:D

  • @aniebally

Yeah, Alice in Wonderland FTW! Although the remake wasn't great, the costumes Alice wears in it are awesome! :D

  • I didnt understand the tutorial that much : s

  • I wouldn't wear them, but those gloves look cool.

  • punk is actitud no ropas ni guantes

  • she's cute, and good job on the tutorial.

  • i wonder what they made their cameras out of

    steam?

    punk?

    bismuth?

  • so hard to understand the tutorial

  • id waer those in real life because i dont care what other people think about me!

  • Love the tutorial, ThreadBanger rocks, but you sorta showed my pet peeve.

Corsets are most comfortable when laced so that the two edges are parallel with one another. In other words, the lacing holes should be an equal distance apart all the way down. Not necessarily a very short distance, just the same one.

Phew. Sorry, had to get that off my laces... :-D

  • could do with subs or redubbing, nice design though

  • I'm lovin the steampunk week, but the audio quality on AuskaNova was horrible! I think its the combo of a bad mic, her mixture of mumbling and a somewhat think accent. I could barely understand her half the time. Here's a tip for any other forum member tutorial videos, quality over quantity, and SPEAK CLEARLY. Despite that those gloves do look great!

  • Yeah they should have used a compresser and hiss/clipp detector to remaster the sound. Good vid though besides that.

  • I really like this tut, however, I was unable to understand what she was saying.

I'd like to give this a try.

  • Love the gloves. you know what else (kinda off topic) I really love Corinne's outfit. XD

  • steam punk is cool, but i dont know if you could wear it in pubblic, un less you are really brave! witch im not..but for halloween (or purim in my case) thouse would look super awsome!

  • I do and I haven't gotten beaten up yet. Haha

  • LOL!!! AWSOME!!! yea...i totally love people who make fashion statments and stuff, its just cool!

  • I prolly wouldn't wear those in real life but for halloween or something that would be a RAD Touch to a costume or something if it wastn't something you'd wear in your day to day. THANKS GUYS once again an awesome idea for everybody

  • =/ Yeah, but I get weird looks when I wear that kind of odd-ball stuff in public. I wear arm warmers and THAT gets weird looks because I'm the only person on my campus that seems to wear them.

  • steam punk kinda reminds me of chimpmunks(tho i really hate them:\)

  • wow u should deffinately be a fashion designer.

  • I can't hear her either...

  • I can't hear her.

  • Verry Cool,

    Thanks Love.

    Peace

  • I guess steampunk is something new coming into trend? The gloves look really nice against her white long-sleeve shirt!

  • Steampunk is a subgenre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used — usually the 19th century.

  • Thanks for the info. I didn't know what Steampunk was, so thanks again for the info!

  • I don't know why you guys have a problem understanding her... I don't have a problem at all. I luv the vid, great idea!

  • cute, a little too cute for us of teh testosteroni persuasion. How about some good old mad scientist gloves?

  • sub-titles, please!

  • I wish I could hear her a little more, but It was a good tutorial. Awesome gloves.
