That was because the Eastern teams were simply too weak to set all their four playoff spots. RSL (5th in the West) had more points than Toronto and DC United 4&5th in the East). That's why RSL got a wildcard for the East. If not, they wouldn't have been in there...

The officials made a perfect game. Could you please specify what you said? Really, this is the clearest penalty I've seen for a long time in the MLS. And there has been no important offside decision in this game. What did you watch, dude?

I believe I was there, and I honestly believe that Columbus deserved it more than Real. I support ALL MLS teams and at times I support teams over the Columbus Crew, however at this match Real didn't deserve the game. Columbus has played their hearts out and this is the last year the majority of the team will be together. The first goal for Real was obviously offsides, wonder why ESPN didn't replay it over & over? Reason being it was a call that needed to be made. Real's the worst road team

There is no way that their first goal was offsides. Take another look at it and remember that it is when the ball is kicked and not received. I believe both teams played well but it's hard to argue that RSL does not deserve it when they scored 3 goals after they were 2 down. That's playing with heart, regardless if you think the goals were valid or not.

I believe Real diddn't play that well, I honestly believe Columbus got robbed. Columbus has probably the best defense in MLS, and they don't just let in 3 goals every game. Or any game for that matter. The refrees controlled this game way too much, and I believe they need to let soccer be soccer and if they're going to make tight calls then make them both ways. Columbus got robbed, for sure.

they don't defeat one of the best teams in MLS at home, and the BEST team in MLS, they just don't defeat a team like Columbus, and to me Real didn't even play that great. I love watching Real and they have a great team and all the players have worked hard but in this situation I believe Columbus deserved this more.
