@overtheEDGE95 On a longboard, You will usually be crouched down.. So if you fall down, you would probably roll. So a helmet isn't needed.. as where gloves, protects your hand from sliding, and knee pad, protects from scraping your knee as you fall down.

Also, a helmet, I used one before on my skateboard... but It weighted me down on doing tricks.. so I couldn't really do anything well.. Since then, I stopped using one.. But yeah, you're right, I've never ridden a longboard so I also don't know much about it. Or a slideboard Whatever.
