Obama chose his words very carefully, he said the bill would not cover illegal aliens. What he didn't say, was by the time they get this thing pushed through, there won't be any illegals aliens. The Dems will have given them amnesty, so he was in fact making a factual statement, just not the way you might think . You have to always think about not only what is said, but how it is said.

If you don't want any health care for illegal immigrants in your state, don't try getting the Federal government to dictate what your state should and should not do. Put forward a proposition and have the people of your state vote on it!

Actually, last night he stated "30 million uninsured Americans".
Immigrants would be able to pay for insurance coverage, just like any other insurer they could already pay for out there, but would not be eligible for any subsidies -- they'd have to pay their own way entirely.
The answer to illegal immigrants is for American businessmen to be thrown in jail and heavily penalized if they hire them without good ID. Most states have holographic watermarks on ID that are very hard to counterfeit.

So you're saying that we shouldn't enforce our laws. Yes businesses that hire illegal invaders should be face criminal charges. It's called a deterrent. Once a couple get burned then they will stop the practice. Other nations who have faced the same problem with illegal invasions took the enforcement by attrition approach and it worked for them. If you don't award the law breaking of illegal invaders by giving them housing and jobs they will leave.

If you can't differentiate between behavior in a town hall and behavior in Congress, well...
Let's be clear. There are actual rules of behavior for serving in the US Senate. Google Standing Rules of the Senate RULE XIX for details.
As for Rep. Frank's acceptance to speak recently, he has every right to say whatever he wants, just like his audience did. He was invited to speak, btw... not a town hall. Had it been, he still could say his mind, and control the ground rules.
