A New Era Of Corruption wasn't as in your face heavy, but their music got more interesting. Don't get me wrong, I love old White Chapel, but I would say the new cd is refreshing to hear. I would say I like WC more than KC but they both kick major fucking ass. WC lyrics are much more thought out and the instruments are much more complex. KC does just make me fucking angry though, and I like that.

As much as I love Whitechapel, I was disappointed with A New Era Of Corruption. They're losing their heavy side and replacing it with more melodic stuff almost. Not knocking WC at all, love them but just a bit of a shame. America's Most Haunted is what I wanted A New Era of Corruption to sound even slightly like :(

If I am not mistaken-not speaking for phil and the band,but in a video he stated he wanted his vocals to be more understood. That requires change. They still sound amazing,so what if you can hear him better that doesn't mean he is going mainstream either for all you other douchers that think that. @JFCBwill Yeah man, I know what you mean - I saw that same interview and forgot to mention it. as I said, I don't hate them now but I just wished they'd stayed to their roots but then again most bands these days are changing a lot through different album. Its down to personal taste as well, some fans hate it when bands change, others embrase it and enjoy the change. A tour with WC and KC would be the pinnacle of my life.
