I would love to live in a city with only Caucasian's, but sadly there isn't one and I think that sucks, seems that's the price we pay for having the talents to make places that are very livable, I guess If I was of a sub human race I would want to live in the white peoples city too but I think at least I would be respectful to them as they are obviously far superior, if it were not so I would have no reason to leave the homeland of my own race. Theoretically, I think the future is affected by every decision made by every sentient or non sentient being in the universe as a whole. Going to the future now, & a nanosecond later, would result in 2 completely different futures because of our freedom of choice & will. I highly doubt our future is set out before us predetermined. So even if someone wanted to confirm his testimony by actually traveling, it would have to be at precisely the moment he traversed. 1 Past = written / Futures = Not

@laityarts That could only happen if we didnt have exposure to the sun through evolution. People have pigment in their skin to protect them from the radiation from the sun in hotter climates, but that evolution would take longer than 700 years I would think. Other than that, it could only happened through genetic engineering to make everyone look pretty much the same.

I was enjoying it as a cool story until he got to the part about the so called socialism of the future squashing all creative incentive because everything was free. That' just stupid. We already have in 2010 plenty of evidence that financial reward is low on the list of motivating influences for human behavior. People want to feel connected, they want to feel heard, they want to feel like they matter, they want to feel like participant in their community and culture..there are so many things...

There are obvious holes in this guy's story as he just kind of makes up the missing parts as he goes along. All of his ideas can be found in science fiction movies. (such as floating cities (Star Wars), moving sidewalks (Jetsons), The computer controlling things, )

So in that sense, the future doesn't exist until we create in the now that's the now in the future. Not sure if that's clearer but it's the best I can do. Just now...

they didnt have much technological automation and wealth there back then, people were poor and had no motivation for changing things for the better, and had not a great degree of freedom to do anything or go anywhere they wanted.
