Best song van de Arctic Monkeys! It's looks a bite of the songs that Alex made with The Last Shadow Puppets... Humburg is my favorite album because the songs are'n so up-tempo. The are slower but very nice..
none of my friends like Humbug, I think its slightly below par when comparing it to Favorite worst nightmare and whatever people say I am, but on the whole it is a good album, songs like Cornerstone, Crying lightning, Jewellers hand & my propeller do it justice..
ya dead right buddy, reminds me "strange days" or the "crystal ship", those are also strange (and very nice!) songs... i adore that humbug-style of arctic monkeys
totally agreeing, at first i loved "crying lightning", "secret doors" and "my propeller"! but the songs like "fire and the thud", "The jeweller's hand" and the hidden song grew in me and now i can't stop listening ti em :)
@MrWalrusgumboot he means the b-sides from the singles. these songs are: "I Haven't Got My strange", "Red Right Hand", Joining The Dots, The Afternoon's Hat, Don't Forget Whose Legs You're On, Fright Lined Dining Room, Sketchhead, and the best one out of all these, Catapult.
it's growing on me as well....and dare i say...i think it's becoming my fav one from the album as well....don't know....how can it compete with the popular ones like crying lightning?......i guess it can....strange song indeed....it's reminds me of the doors a bit. is it just my opinion???
Students should study the lyrics of Alex Turner in English Literature lessons.

Does this remind anyone else of The Godfather's soundtrack?
Anyway, a fantastic song from a masterpiece of an album. Terribly underrated.

@MrSuperTevez I think humbug is their best

this is, in my opinion, the greatest song this band has ever written. Humbug is the only reason I know The Arctic Monkeys, and thank God for it.

this is absolutely one of my favorite albums.
it really shows their talent as musicians.
i'm starting to think that this song is about the character that is also mentioned in catapult, brianstorm, etc...

I can say with ease that this is one of my favorite songs... ever.

@irena2009 its funny how people likes something different within the same band.
e.g. i just listened to dance little liar like 5 times in a row. then this one.
while some other people would like when the sun goes and stuff like that

Same here, it's growing on me as well. It's up there with "Fire And the Thud" (also a very strange tune) as my fave of the album. :D!
