Really like 'we're open tonight', I especially like the big bass thuds. Can't say I have ever been fond of 'to you', I think this could have been replaced by 'Cage'. There are enough rock songs on Back to the egg. This track is a bit surplus.
McCartney, great as he is, is still underrated as far as I am concerned. He has the greatest rock and roll voice in history. So versatile and appealing in so many ways. Not to take anything away from Lennon's solo work, but I am tired of the criticism for McCartney's work. He has far too many great songs to keep track of.
@Kieronoldham Yes, rock n' roll licks (all 3 chords) were patented long ago. They overlap sometimes. George knows all about this with "My Sweet Lord" and The Chiffons' "He's So Fine".
