I am saying that in addition to collecting blood, this a good, almost painless way to slaughter as well. One quick prick or one quick cut/incision and the animal only feels moment of minimal pain.
I see this as a very efficient way to slaughter the cow as well. A quick, yet deep incision into the jugular and then just letting the animal bleed and pass out is much less painful for the animal.
