arrian calls diodiorus a liar too and they all seem to have claimed each other to of falsehood, both arrian and plutachs accoutns follow several years after diodorus, and are likly just exagerated fables passed down and taken from diodorus rather then seperate historical research..the references they use are none in factual posession, and use claim to use 2nd hand or even 3rd hand account.
diodirus claims porus had 50,000 men (infact diodirus claims he had MORE then 50,000 infantry lol), but arrian claims 30,000 and plutach 20,000 (all wrote it well after the event about 200 yrs after) truth is none of these story tellers knew anything about the event. Also diodorus cliams 12,000 infantry of this 50,000 were killed,..though apparently the battle was meant to long faught? It is also believed porus had 85 elephants, but diodorus claims 80 were captured, tho he has also they died.
Stupid western media, and their only hero, that too, a Greek, whose ancestors used to call these western barbarians.... Do not even know how alexander died, and here they opined another make u believe alexander achievement.... Do the fools not know Alexander died like a dog in the desert of Balochistan?
@Shawn979 "A Military History of Ancient India," by Major General Gurcharn Singh Sandhu, gives an excellent description of Alexander's battle with Porus and a very compelling argument that the battle ended in a stalemate, with the two sides agreeing to a peace treaty.
