My name is James Stutts, and I served with SSgt. Alva from 1996-1998 with HMH-769. We all knew that he was gay, but it wasn't anything we ever felt the need to talk about. He did his job, and was a good Marine. At the end of the day that is what matters. I do not support Obama. I believe that he is a progressive socialist. However, I do support the repeal of DADT. I believe that gay service members, like straight ones will keep their private lives private. If they don't the UCMJ will fix that.
